Balmoral Hotel

As a regular of the greenan bar I have to say Aimee C is the best in the world, friendly, accommodating, fun! knows her regulars coming threw the door and goes above and beyond to accommodate, knows how to pour a good pint of Guinness! Loves her job love to see her we face behind the bar when we come in asset to the place 100%

Me and my hubby where there a week ago for his birthday, it was our second time staying at the Balmoral in the executive suite. Staff where fantastic all round. Stix and stones was an incredible experience and the lady Ann was tasty also. This hotel may be 3 stars but the staff sure make it a 5 star experience we highly recommend.

The hotel looks very nice and reception were great and very helpful. Ate at the onsite restaurant lady Anne. Food was ok, wings must have been microwaved and lasgna wasn't really moist enough but all perfectly edible. They have a separate bar with plenty of outdoor space which would be nice for a pint in warm weather. Room was as you would expect apart from no plug near the bed for phone charging.

However room 14 is above what must be a dryer, sounded like for at least 4 hours they were drying shoes with the noise. Thankfully this stopped around 8pm, but being the first room and next to stairs you were always disturbed by guests either banging cases up the stairs or talking. I'd give it 3.5 but with the nice reception staff giving it a 3 instead of a 4 feels harsh. I would advise the hotel not to fill room 14 if possible, better to give a different/better room and have a better review if the hotel isn't full.

The lady's in the restaurant where very nice, but the bar man called Clarkey was very ignorant, and very rude, to be honest I can't understand how he has kept his job for so long. We have stayed at that hotel for many years but we won't be staying their again. We even stayed there for our honeymoon, but I will be telling all our friends from London not to stay there. I have never met a man with such an attitude, to be honest if was a bit younger he would have got a slap for the way we where treated.

Went to the Lady Ann restaurant and got a 7oz sirloin, chips and peppered sauce for around 11 pound. Great value for money and great customer service. The meal was part of a large party for my mums 50th and the staff were super accommodating to the group. Would highly recommend. We were served mostly by a very attentive gentleman with a foreign accent.

Absolute horrible place. When we first arrived a blonde woman at the reception was awfully ignorant. Me and my husband booked 3 nights. Went home a day earlier. Food was nice. Bathroom had someone else hair in the shower. We had half a roll of toilet paper. Definitely need a new receptionist woman. When checking out a day earlier she didn't even ask why. Never again.

Service first class, staff very friendly. Rooms spacious and clean. The LadyAnne restaurant on site is very convenient, staff very pleasant and helpful and the food is very good especially the Malayan curry

Had an overnight stay and it was really lovely staff were excellent. Breakfast was delicious choice of cereal, fruit yogurts, toast and a beautifully cooked breakfast. We were on the ground floor which was a little noisy as it's at the front of the hotel, people chatting on the patio area, taxi doors shutting and door to the rooms banging but it quietened down around 10.30 and didn't bother us too much.access to the restaurant at the side of hotel was a little tricky with a lady on rollater, there's no lift and it's on a hill, but we did manage so overall a very good experience also food in the restaurant was really good and reasonably priced.

From check in until check out the staff where excellent. We have stayed in many hotels and I must say the cleaniness of the public toilets where fantastic. The service in the bar and restaurant was second to none food was delicious. We will be returning with a group as to me this hotel is a hidden gem keep up the great work you are all doing as a team. Was at this venue for a Comedy event with a Christmas festive meal. The facilities were clean a well laid out, but such a pity about the quality of the food that was served as it was sadly lacking. The vegetables were far from cooked and many others around me agreed they must be raw and the festive meat content appeared to lack that in any substance quality.

In my opinion it would have been better for the hotel not to have served the meal if this was the quality that they prepared to serve. But I leave you to make your own assessments on the food as this may have been just a glitch for the table I was at and the other 3 tables I talked to about it.
