Visited Swimming pool was a bit pricey but good facilities. Also visited The play barn, they charged 4.20 for a 7 month baby even though website says they're free entry. There is limited things to entertain a baby, so it's disappointing, so beware and avoid if you have a baby. More suitable for older kids.

Room was the most disappointing, for the price you are paying per night and you only get a double sized bed isn't good enough. One single window for a large wall seemed daft, room was far too warm and the lack of toiletries was noticed. On the positive side the services, restaurants and pools were very good, just a shame about the room.

Auchrannie Resort is an amazing place to stay. We travelled with four children, and we were all blown away by the quality of the hotel, the facilities, the food and hospitality. Auchrannie is owned by its employees - it really is! - which is quite unique in the sector. And you get a special sense that everyone on the team is really committed to giving guests a very special holiday experience.
I am writing this review, on the third of a planned five day stay. It was super when we arrived, and has got better every day as we began to experience the broad range of facilities and all that the beautiful Isle of Arran has to offer. We love everything about Auchrannie Resort and I can see us coming back, again and again. Come visit, you won't be disappointed!

A lovely hotel with a range of facilities for the active and not so active. Hotel rooms are generously sized and well decorated. The location of an easy walk to town and benefits from being very close to the harbour. Goatfell and the surrounding mountains ensure a peaceful feel and some lovely views.

What a lovely resort. We stayed in the suite in the hotel for 4 nights for a much needed rest and break from busy lives. This hotel gives excellent service, good facilities within easy reach, delicious food, comfortable beds and quiet peaceful accommodation. The staff are friendly, helpful and professional. Every area is stylish, clean and well maintained.
The pools are big enough for a really decent swim. We did not use the spa area, and the only criticism is that any treatments need to be booked at least 8 weeks in advance which doesn't fit in with a booking made any later than this. We will definitely be returning to visit the beautiful island of Arran and will choose Auchrannie for our accommodation.

We had a wonderful weekend stay here. Hotel is beautiful and in a stunning location. The on-site activities, swimming pool and restaurants are great too, and it's a very short walk to have a nice wander in Brodick. The staff were fantastic too - always pleasant, and happy to help with the few requests we had.

Lovely stay at a lodge for 3 days. Staff very attentive and facilities and restaurants were excellent. One point of critique would be that for the price you wouldn't really have to clean as much and strip the beds. Also a side note: when talking to my wife in the corridors of the hotel, a (what seemed like a) manager type loudly requested us to wear a face mask. A) it is very rude to interrupt our conversation this way and to keep almost yelling at us after ignoring him. B) he has no right to ask us about it, we might be excempt. No way to treat guests. A big contrast to all the other employees who were brilliant.

This was our fourth visit to the self catering lodges and everything was as good as we've come to expect. Covid related changes and precautions didn't seem to get in the way at all, and we felt very safe throughout. The staff, as ever, did a great job of welcoming, feeding and watering us and in many respects it was as if there was no pandemic. Shame that one of the restaurants was closed (covid related staffing levels) but the food and drinks, and service, in Cruize and Brambles was fantastic. Will go back, hopefully with better weather!

After some of the mixed reviews, we kept our expectations in check, but ended up more than satisfied with our one night stay. Every staff member we interacted with was welcoming, and service was friendly and efficient all around. We stayed in what I believe is their basic-level accommodation, a House Hotel Twin room, which was spacious, with comfy beds, two chairs, a desk, wardrobe, fridge and coffee/tea facilities.
The bathroom was medium-sized, with toilet, full size sink and shower over tub. Loved the bath products from Arran Aromatics. I would call the bedroom decor modern, yet traditional, with tartan carpets, purple chairs and tweed throws. Importantly nowadays, everything was spotlessly clean. Sadly, the tapas restaurant was closed, but the bar and lovely lounge was open for cocktails. Breakfast in the morning was a proper full Scottish, and absolutely delicious. Glad to see the focus on local ingredients. All-in-all, a lovely stay.

We ate at Brambles (the seafood restaurant) on our final night in Arran, and it was probably the meal I was most excited for. I love seafood, and I was interested to see what Auchrannie was like. We walked from Brodick - it's a bit of a strange walk and you'll probably feel like you took the wrong turn off as the road is very residential (I expected it to be estate grounds) but then you'll arrive at the resort. Brambles is a very Scottish, cosy restaurant with a fireplace and lots of tartan.
I liked the decor although it was a little bit too dark in the restaurant. No bother. We were greeted at the door and asked if we wanted to hang up our own coats on the rack (there's a first, most restaurants will at least take your coat for you) and then shown to our table. We were the first table in the restaurant, and then they seated another table of two right next to us.
In a completely empty restaurant. So frustrating! Why do they do that? It it so awkward. Anyway. We were told the specials of the day and looked over the menu. Another waiter was then telling the table next to us the specials and couldn't remember them or read the specials board from where he was standing. I have to say, for a restaurant that obviously wants you to feel like you're eating somewhere expensive and fancy, the service really let it down.
They were awkwardly formal and stilted. I had the Scottish brown crab soup to start (tomato and fennel bisque, white crab meat with lemon and cracked pepper croutons) and then grilled fillet of garlic scented sea bass for main (with west coast crab and coriander fritters, buttered spinach with chorizo and chickpea salsa). I really expected a lot from the food - after all, they say they're the finest seafood restaurant on Arran but I was really disappointed.
The soup was pretty bland - no distinct taste of crab and just an "ok" soup overall. I was hoping for better from the main but again, I really wasn't very impressed with the food - the fritters were nearly burnt and the sea bass was fine but really lacked flavour. The nicest part of the meal was the side of mustard mash. We decided not to get dessert as Graeme wasn't really impressed with his food either.
We just got the bill and headed home. It was pretty expensive too - I think around 80 including a bottle of wine. For them boasting about being such a great seafood restaurant I have to say I was disappointed and really didn't think the food was impressive. I much preferred the Drift Inn in Lamlash.

Auchrannie resort is located just on the outskirts of Brodick on the island of Arran. If you don't have a car the hotel bus can pick you up from the ferry terminal and the resort is only a 5 min drive away. There are two hotels, the old traditional building and the new white modern building. Both hotels offer spa treatments and restaurants. We stayed in the old hotel and it was very romantic.
It offers 2 restaurants, the Brambles with a cozy fireplace and the 1968 conservatory Scottish Tapas experience. You are surrounded by pure beauty of Scottish hills and mountains. During the day you have the chance to explore the island, visit Brodick castle, and/ or hike the hills whilst admiring playful waterfalls. The hotel itself offers a spa break, segway, archery, a gym and other out /indoor experiences.
What amazed me the most was the excellent service by the staff. They were so efficient and friendly. The excellent food just kept coming with no delays. The dinner is a la carte and breakfast is served buffet style for the cold items and the waiters also take orders for the cooked items on the menu. I so loved the blueberry pancakes. Yum yum. The mattresses were not to my liking as I could feel the springs, so they offered me extra covers.
One night the TV did not work due to static electricity in the air, but for what do you need TV for :- Anyway, the overall experience was excellent and I will definitely be heading back soon.

Just returned from a weekend at Auchrannie. The resort is conveniently located. We brought our bikes on the ferry and road the 1 mile to the resort. Check-in was very smooth and the staff were all very friendly. The rooms were nice, with the bathrooms and linens updated, (carpets and furniture were a bit dated). One of the nights we had dinner at their restaurant Eighteen69.
The service started strong, but was lacking later in the evening as we tried to order dessert and pay our bill. The restaurant is a 'Scottish Tapas' style, which encourages you to try many items. The decor is nice. Plates we enjoyed included the bubbling potato bake and the bread starter. The venison meatballs were dry and the whisky seared salmon was suprisingly dull in flavour.
We also checked out their spa (ASPA) during our stay which was a great value. The relaxation room and treatment rooms were relaxing and well equipped. Afterward we enjoyed their steam room and samarium. Overall a good stay. We couldn't fit in everything we wanted to do on the island, so we'll look forward to returning again soon!
