Somerville Hotel

Absolutely loved staying here. From the second we got there we were looked after by Peter who was a wealth of knowledge and helped to shape our trip. Breakfast is outstanding and it's in a really good location. Rooms are really nice. Cannot recommend more highly!

A lovely little find.arrived Friday pulled into car park and there the car stayed until Sunday pm.all free of charge and very safe.rooms delightful.breakfast amazing.and hospitality fantastic.definitely a great find and somewhere we will be returning back to soon

I can't be more positive about this hotel! From the moment we arrived, Pete came to greet us and chatted like we were already friends! The hotel is spotless, gorgeous, the rooms amazingly comfortable and well decorated, as for the breakfast. WOW! Such great choices, including homemade granola, homemade cooked ham (Helen does amazing free cakes for guests too!) The service is always with a smile and chatty, genuinely the loveliest place to stay!

Wonderful weekend stay. The hosts are fantastic, mainly saw Peter. He was very friendly, helpful, informative and fun. Very accommodating hosts. The room was lovely had everything you needed for a good stay. Fresh milk in a small fridge which was nice, and useful. Small bar with well stocked fridge, very reasonably priced. The breakfast was wonderful, so much choice, well cooked, and quality produce. Highly recommend a stay here, looking forward to coming back. Good location short walk down the hill to the harbour.

Peter and Helen are wonderful hosts and make you feel at home. We stayed in the Garden Suite for our 35th wedding anniversary and it was perfect. The breakfasts are outstanding as are Helens home-made cakes. Looking forward to another visit for our 36th wedding anniversary.

Excellent location. Breakfast was lovely plenty of options from full English breakfast, cereals fresh apple and orange juice, Fresh fruit. Bedrooms lovely and bed very comfortable views lovely. Owners very knowledgeable. Bus stops short walk away from the b&b they will help you with the local bus timetable.

Excellent B&B with fantastic hosts and what has to be the "Best British Breakfast" in the UK :) Lovely comfortable beds, great facilities, and a lot of thought given by the hosts of what they think you could need. some lovely touches like Fresh milk in the fridge plus Bottled water, and also a small sun lotion for those days the sun is shining :) Very clean, close to all amenities in the Town and Harbour with just a short walk needed. Excellent and very highly recommended.

Great hosts, excellent breakfast, every room has its own unique style. Each room has bathrobes and slippers, bathrooms have toiletries and cotton buds and cotton wool, views lovely and a sbort walk roughly 10 minutes to the town. Bus stops close to the b&b ( 22 & 112 ). Netflix tv.

Just come back from a two night stay with my girlfriend at The Somerville. The hotel is sat in a very nice location, just a 10-15 minute walk down to the harbour and the main pubs and restaurants. Our room was very cosy and clean, and even had its own little courtyard. The bathroom was nice and modern and also relatively spacious. As we were having breakfast both mornings, prior to us arriving I let the hotel know that we were both vegan, to find in our rooms that Helen had made us some vegan sweet treats.

The breakfast was cooked lovely, with fresh coffee and orange juice. I would really recommend staying at The Somerville if you are looking for a relaxing seaside retreat. Peter was extremely friendly and welcoming throughout our short stay, and is full of knowledge.he knows the area like the back of his hand. Thank you for the great stay!

We had a lovely stay at this hotel in Torquay. The room was amazing and was opulent beyond measure with some really lovely touches, a sumptuous bed, plush fabrics and a amazing chandelier. The owners were great with Peter at breakfast an attentive host. Breakfast was everything you could ask for, and even now, many hours later I am still full. Good parking, close to town, clean and tidy room. Very reasonable on price. Will definitely stay again and recommend this hotel as a base to all who wish to stay and explore The English Riviera.
