I stayed for a week and found everything to be ok. The room was small but very tidy as was the bathroom. The hotel has a restaurant which is always busy and a bar which I didn't go into. There is a nice garden out in the back if you fancy some quiet time. If the hotel has a function on then it's hard to find a parking space even if you're a resident. All in all it's fine but I don't think I'll go back, I just didn't feel very welcome.

We were here as our Granddaughter was taking part in a Speech and Drama festival. We decided to have a quick lunch while we were waiting, my husband had Vegetable Soup, I had a slice of cheesecake with Ice cream and a cappuccino, .the restaurant was quite busy but the waitress found us a table. Lovely hotel.

We were a party of 8 celebrating a 16th birthday. The staff were excellent and very attentive to everyone despite being very busy. Nothing was a bother. The food was of excellent quality. maybe portions a bit on the large size! I have always had a great experience in the Beechlawn and will continue to give my support. In fact we realised that the birthday girl's christening party had been there too. The bill was easy to pay too. Will very back soon

This hotel is definitely 3 plus stars. 15 min outside the city centre. Rooms clean. The restaurant food is recommended. Huge portions! They have their own pub within the hotel and felt comfortable enough to go in for a drink on my own. Breakfast needs a rethink. It does feel in the middle of no where but bus stop right outside, train station to Belfast 3 min walk away and Tesco around the corner (1 min walk). Definitely recommend

Have you ever stayed in a hotel & not been able to fault anything at all? Well if the answer is no you MUST visit the Beechlawn Hotel. We have spent 4 fantastic days here & can not recommend a stay here enough. Staff are totally amazing, nothing is too much bother. The food is absolutely delicious, entertainment first class. The wedding we attended here was planned to perfection right down to the final detail. Thank you to you all for the best time.

Came here for lunch with a friend and sat in the bar area. The service was excellent and the decor was nice as was the selection on the menu. Lots of parking which was handy too. Marked down slightly as the bar itself was very cold and the lunch menu is a little highly priced, it also too ten minutes for the staff to get hold of the card payment machine as there seemed to be only one for a very busy time of day

We had lunch at the restaurant earlier and must say we loved the range and quality of sandwiches and the soup was delicious, but there weren't enough sandwiches to go around and the soup was insufficient in portion size! The restaurant itself is showing signs of age as is the foyer and reception areas, definitely needs modernising! Staff amazing

The nice thing about this hotel is that it's quite tranquil. It's situated by a small road, which leads into Dunmurry and to the motorway. Dunmurry is a bustling little area with a lot of shops. There's a lot of through traffic there as well, as it connects to Lisburn and Belfast. Not only is the road beside the hotel small, when you're in the hotel you wouldn't know it was there at all because the hotel and the road are separated by the hotel's huge car park.
Basically you've got peace and quiet combined with easy access to local shopping and a short travelling distance to Belfast and Lisburn. The bar area is a beautiful wooden bar with wooden tables and chairs, and high chairs along the bar itself. The unfortunate thing about the bar is that it's about 3.50 a pint, which is steeper than a lot of places in the city centre. It's a popular venue for weddings, and has all sorts of conference facilities.
I imagine this place would be perfect for someone who was visiting Belfast for business, especially someone who's particularly busy and has a few long days with tonnes of meetings to cram in in Belfast and/or Lisburn. At the end of days like that you could just come back here and relax in peace, maybe stopping off to pick something up for dinner from the Good Luck Chinese (see my Good Luck Chinese review).
I think I'd be more inclined to stay in the nearby Balmoral, but then again I'm not overrun with business meetings so I wouldn't be so much in need of the tranquility here.

Until recently my memories of the Beechlawn were from attending teenage discos here with a friend who lived in this end of town - but recently I was able to go back as a grown up so to speak, and see what it was like from an adult point of view. I was attending a meeting here with some colleagues and the conference room they gave us was of an appropriate size, although the air conditioning was FREEZING - but they put it off when we asked fairly promptly.
They had a steady supply of tea and coffee and good quality biscuits - none of that cardboard crap - and what was a nice touch was bottled water, rather than a jug of tap water on the table. The lunch was good too, we were all very pleased with the experience.
