It's a big hotel building with ample parking just off a main intersection roundabout therefore worth asking for a room that doesnt face the main road. It's clean and modernly decorated in the public areas such as the bar but once you get to the residents' area it is less well maintained and quite grubby. The corridor carpets have well established travel paths and the edges dont meet the hoover often.
Our room, 21, had a lot of cobwebs in the corners and just needed a good clean. The bathroom had everything you need but was dated and needs some love and attention, small, details like the loo roll holder was hanging on by a thread. The Hot Water warning is needed. the water is scalding if left to run so be aware. There is an electric radiator and we had a small desk in the room but no aircon.
The windows open about 4 inches with a security strap limiting opening but the road outside was somewhat noisy as was the rattly old desk fan. The nights were hot and everyone in our group staying at the hotel commented on having poor sleep due to the heat. The bar prices are reasonable for an hotel bar. The breakfast was ok, not worth 8 and the continental breakfast range with half an hour to the end of the 8 to 10am breakfast hours was laughable.
See pics. That said the staff were brilliant and always willing to help. Overall it's a nice hotel with great staff but it does need some money spending on it. If they have a No Smoking policy it needs to be highlighted more. On our first night someone half way along the corridor was smoking in their room and trying to mask the smell with cheap perfume. On our second night the guy in room 22 was trying to blow the smoke out of the slightly open window so that it came straight in to our room.

It was lovely and quiet when we got there. We had a carvery, which was really nice. We didn't feel pressured to leave straight after we've eaten. Some places don't want you to hang about. Tables were cleared of dishes and glasses regularly. So you weren't sat with it all on the table. Can recommend going for sure.

Stumbled on this as a half way meeting point A short drive from the M1. Bright, big and spacious. Food menu was good enough. Quite a family-focussed pub, with a children's play centre attached. For a quiet business meeting during the school Easter break, it wasn't probably the best choice but it definitely is somewhere we'd meet again, at quieter times

I was in a nearby hotel on a work trip. I went to this place for a change of scenery. It's very much like a lot of the big chain restaurants like Brewers Fayer etc. You order at the bar and food is delivered to your table. Considering it was valentines day, it was much quieter than I expected, but maybe it's not the most romantic place to eat. I had a Lebanese Chicken Kebab with rice, which was delicious. The service was good and quick. No complaints.

After waiting 45 mins for our food we asked a member of staff if there was a problem, she told us there was an hour waiting time for food. Don't know why nobody informed us of this when we ordered. We decided to be patient and continue waiting. Would love to say what the food is actually like but it's now been an hour and a half and we're still waiting. Won't be returning.

Didn't stay but called 8n for a meal. Great for car parking. Easy to find a table and order food. I decided to use the Tap and Eat app to just try it out. Works well. Clean and pleasant environment. The only caviar hence the 4 stars is my food, especially the chips felt like they had been kept warm underneath the heat lamps for too long. Hope this was a one off. Certainly warrants another visit.
