Lochside House Hotel

Overnight stay to experience the hotel because daughter booked it for her wedding in 2024. The wedding planner had already shown the bride and groom around on a previous visit but did the full tour again for us and spent ages answering our questions. Busy place. Everything was just excellent. The rooms, beds, food, service, decor, grounds are all first class. The spa is amazing. I don't think I've been anywhere else that I've been so impressed with. Love it!

Had a fantastic weekend at the Lochside House Hotel. We arrived on Friday for a wedding on the Saturday. We had dinner in the restaurant on the Friday which was superb, and a wonderful weekend at the Wedding. The whole hotel was very impressive. Our room was one of the Garden Rooms on the bottom floor which had wonderful views, and was nice and spacious. Will definitely visit again soon.

We were here for a wedding. I can honestly say this is the most stunning location I have ever been to. The function suite has panoramic views of the grounds, the staff and service were excellent. The food served was delicious and hot which is an accomplishment when serving so many people. A definite 5 stars.

Just home from a romantic night away here. Everything was perfect from start to finish. The hotel was immaculate, lovely room and friendly staff. The surroundings were lovely, nice walks too. We stayed in the garden suite, patio area was nice spacious too. The bar staff were lovely. We had a lovely dinner looking over the lake then cocktails in bar which were amazing. Lovely cooked breakfast in the morning. Highly recommended this place. Will definitely be back.

Can't really fault this hotel/Spa, it is a classy place. I would certainly recommend it. We had a dinner, bed and breakfast deal and it was a lovely experience. Room was spotless and the food was delicious. We also used the spa which again was really very good. The staff are very pleasant and we were well looked after. 10 out of 10

Overnight Spa Break From the minute we arrived until we left we were welcomed and served by superbly trained polite friendly efficient staff. The location of hotel is great. Rooms and facilities all to a very high standard. The Spa Break was wonderful. Spa staff were great, treatments fantastic and all in a lovely calm relaxing environment. Dinner was excellent.

Service efficient but friendly, nothing was too much trouble, choice and quality of food on the set menu excellent. Breakfast the next morning didn't disappoint and was the same high standard and quality. Could have happily stayed for longer and simply could not find any negatives to our stay.

We had a great time, on a dbb deal. The hotel was lovely and the food was amazing, the spa area was great and relaxing, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The only fault we had is our rooms were on the first floor and there is no lifts, my sister has a weak leg but she did manage. Would definitely go back.

Had a great time at the Lochside for a wee treat for my wife's birthday! Excellent service from friendly staff! Afternoon tea was amazing followed by a couple of cocktails to finish the afternoon off! Never hassled to finish quickly, took it all at our own pace! Great service

Super location in well tended grounds. Reception was impressive, quick but not hurried, friendly and professional. Hotel public areas exceptionally clean, as was outside the hotel. No litter or leaves or debris. Our room was immaculate, well furnished and the bed was very comfortable with snow white linens. Staff were professional and friendly, at the bar, at dinner and breakfast. Service was speedy. Would recommend and stay again.

Loved the setting, the staff were good, and the bar prices very reasonable. The room had a sliding door that opened I to a small patio area, would be nice in the summer. All in all a good stay, wife is heading back to try the spa facilities with a few friends. Would recommend if you are in the area and looking for a high quality hotel

Absolutely beautiful lodge, pristine conditions and very beautiful views. The food was lovely and service was brilliant. We will definitely be back at some point.

We had a fantastic two day stay over Christmas in the amazing new Laurel Tree Lodge at Lochside House Hotel. It was modern, very spacious and everywhere was very clean. We had Christmas Day Dinner and Boxing Day Dinner in the hotel and they were excellent. Would definitely recommend and go back.

The staff are over and beyond their duties. Was there for a family wedding gorgeous hotel with lovely lovely staff. One of the nicest hotels I have seen in such a long time. Hey may even have my wedding there

Amazing venue for your wedding, food was so good, staff were commendable and made sure the wedding party and guests were looked after. The venue is beautiful, the rooms were amazing and well decorated. The setting outside was so perfect for newly weds to get some fantastic moments captured on photos. Highly recommended for anyone wishing for that dream venue. Thanks so much to the staff making it a pleasure to be there and enjoy a family special day.

We have visited Lochside for the past nine years each time we have visited on their Hide and Sleep package which consists of 2 nights dinner(set menu) bed and breakfast as well as a 90 minute full body massage and finishing treatment. From the moment we enter the hotel all the staff are welcoming, efficient and friendly nothing is too much trouble for them.

The hotel is beautifully decorated throughout, the Garden Suite room is very spacious and comfortable, the restaurant has beautiful views of the grounds and the food is excellent the set menu has a good selection to choose from and the spa is the perfect place to relax. I highly recommend this hotel and package and will definitely be returning in the future.

Beautiful wedding venue and a really lovely looking hotel. The rooms are really clean, cosy and everything you need. The breakfast is good also. The views alone at this place on it's own are just stunning. Would highly recommend

Travelled up from Sheffield to view our booked wedding venue. Unbelievable, from the service to the decor and grounds, it couldn't be better. Alannah was more than helpful and very informative and managed to ease the pressure for us with regard to the wedding planning. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff at this hotel and they all seemed to be happy working there.

We were shown an example of each room that's been booked for the wedding including the honeymoon suite and dressing room. WOW all of which are finished to a very high standard. We can't wait to return in February for a short stay and looking forward to becoming official at your beautiful location Thanks so much!

Recently refurbished hotel looked like new. Bar and restaurant excellent. Good choice on dinner menu and breakfast buffet one of the best I've seen. Bath plug was broken/didn't work on arrival but fixed promptly. Staff whilst courteous and efficient weren't overtly friendly. The difference between 4 stars and 5 stars.

A beautiful place to celebrate 21st birthday. Food was glorious- plenty of choice. We had 2 vegetarians in the party and they had plenty of choice.

The Afton A La Carte restaurant is a rather good restaurant to visit after a long day out. It has a good selection of meals and has been excellent every time i have visited, very relaxing and a great place out of the way. The location is great overlooking the loch and the hotel has a few amazing lochside villas to rent as well as the hotel rooms itself. Sadly it always seems to be pouring with rain when we visit but its Scotland so we just suck it up! Prices in the restaurant are always very reasonable but its always very busy so best to book in advance! Not quite as good as the Wildings in Maidens but then that is my favourite restaurant in Scotland but it does a good job.

The hotel is located in a beautiful part of Scotland in New Cumnock. The gardens and outside areas are well kept, with good parking and stunning views. I arrived here in January as a wedding guest and stayed for two nights. The hotel reception area and function rooms are beautiful, a great place to hold a wedding, birthday or conference. I did feel that the quality of the bedrooms did not match the price charged and this is why I can only give 3 out of 5.

The bed was comfy enough, however the pillows were too soft, the hair drier barely dried your hair and the bathroom had been neglected. The floor had several marks and the bath was dirty around the edges. I would also say that the breakfast was not very good so all in all, a disappointing experience for the money. I did enjoy the wedding and the bride and groom had a fantastic day but I feel the rooms need to be improved.
