Welcome to The Fairburn Hotel, a contempory 3* Visit Scotland rated hotel ideally situated in the heart of the village of Mauchline, famous for its connection with Scotland's National Bard, Rabbie Burns. Our four well-appointed rooms all boast Flat Screen TVs, Wi-Fi access, Hairdryer, complimentary toiletries and hospitality trays. Our restaurant offers a fine selection of modern British dishes and is complimented by our lounge bar serving, cocktails and hot & cold drinks.
I stayed at the Fairburn Hotel recently along with my farther in law and son whilst walking the River Ayr Way, arriving tired and wet after a 22 mile hike. We were met by friendly staff and a very cosy and inviting bar, the rooms were immaculate and more than adequate for some well weary travelers, dinner was very nice washed down by a few equally well received pints, I have stayed in many many Hotels and the Fairburn struck me as run by people who want to impress and its the little details that always count the hotel has a very nice and welcoming atmosphere and for me gets my vote, the only complaint any of us had was the prospect of having to walk another 22 miles after a fantastic big fry!
Enjoy the very best in homemade Scottish cuisine, modern and traditional recipes, prepared from fresh locally sourced ingredients. Be it for a quick lunch or that very special occasion. Enjoy dining in a cozy atmosphere during the winter months or perhaps al fresco in the summer in our Courtyard Gard.
Make your way to The Fairburn, where every Sunday, we present a veritable feast of succulent roasts, fresh vegetables and potatoes, rich gravy, homemade Yorkshire puddings, stuffing and chipolatas. Our Mouth-watering Sunday Lunch is served all day from 12pm every Sunday and is more popular than ever.

It's a lovely wee place and dog friendly too. Service was a bit slow, but ones they got to us they were on the ball. The food was amazing and we'll worth the wait. Stafe friendly approach able produced knowledge was on point. I had the burns burger never anything like. When I go back I will be ordering that burger again and I would highly recommend it.

We have just stayed 2 nights at the Fairburn Hotel. We had a very warm welcome on arrival and that continued through our stay, the staff are a credit to the hotel they're hard working, attentive, polite, enthusiastic and welcoming. We had all we needed warm comfortable room, comfy bed, good bath plenty hot water and after a full day out it was very welcoming.lol. the food in the restaurant is amazing first class always hot and well presented and delicious. Fantastic breakfast and choices on the menu. We will definitely be back. Keep up the great work guys.

Dropped in during an impromptu drive through East Ayrshire. The restaurant is a must for any foodies. The seabass with scallops and accompanying veg were cooked and seasoned to perfection. My husband's steak pie was flavoursome and filling. The menu gave information on their locally sourced produce. Children are also catered for well. Their dishes arrived with a paper plane toy. A nice touch! A real hidden gem. Will definitely be back.

Went to the Fairburn Hotel for the Sunday Lunch and was not disappointed. I had the chicken and rice soup to start followed by the Roast Beef with all the trimmings, everything freshly made, no shortcuts.it was delicious! Planning a return visit to try out the cocktails next.would definitely recommend.
