If you like your breakfast solid (not fillingactually solid so knife bending proportions), and swimming in grease then book yourself in here. Staff were unfriendly, and seemed to know less than us where anything in the hotel was. Aside from most of the rooms smelling of smoke still despite a lengthy period passing since the smoking ban, having walls all of 2mm thick and doors that barely fit in the frame, the rooms do at least vaguely seal off you from the rest of the hotel, which is about as positive as i can be about this place.

In whole, a rather depressing night spent in blackpool. One final hint: if you are still planning on staying in this hotel and have the option of not driving to blackpool take ityou'll never find a space on the hotel and instead be leavig your car in the blackpool ghetto round the back, which frankly would only leave you minorly depressed that that's not where you are staying instead!

We booked a last minute deal for a 2 night stay in Blackpool, and on the website the hotel looked lovely. Some of the reviews were a little old, but all seemed positive. On arrival we noticed there were very few parking spaces, and none for disabled guests, which meant we already had a long walk from the car after we had to park on one of the side streets.

On the car park there were many spaces being taken up by a painters van, which seemed a little unecessary as there was an alley down the back which i would've thought would make more sense for the painters to use. On Checking in the hotel seemed clean, if a little old and shabby, but not overly dirty. However we got to the box, sorry, room, and realised out stay wouldn't be quite so much fun as we'd hoped.

After trying to live with the room for half an hour we decided that the complete lack of any view (literally the window would open and we could touch the grey concrete opposite without any stretching. ) My OH went down the reception and requested a change of room. The second room was somewhat better.we could see the sky down the edge of the wall from this one!

The hotel entertainment was poor, and was so loud that even turning the TV up to full in the room wouldnt drown it out. Breakfast was poor, greasy, and practically impossible to cut. All in all i wouldn't go back unless there were guarantees of getting the room quallity and breakfast shown on the website!
