Nice decor in this traditional hotel, but the advertised Beer Festival appeared to be all over by the time we arrived at 8.45.

It's an ok place to stay, nothing fancy but comfortable enough. Breakfast is adequate and the server is a bit of a character Pub side is standard fare, good selection of ales and a micro brewery on site is a bonus. Food menu is fairly limited but again it is adequate just nothing fancy. Hotel is located ideally for the shops and the beach. It is not the cheapest but nor is it the dearest, you get your money's worth.

Great bar and lounge, doesn't appear to be too appealing from the roadside, but a warm and friendly welcome was received. A good location for a drink and meet up with friends

Stopped off for a few drinks in the delightful dog friendly garden whilst visiting Sutton on Sea for a few hours, good choice of ales and lagers, nice to find Aspalls cider. Inside of bar / hotel looks very nice, we'll certainly be contemplating staying here in the future.

Very friendly welcome, touch of confusion from staff as to menus etc, room was nice but the toilet had a clear glass panel so a tads odd when you use the loo.

Firstly I have to mention the staff, from reception to house keeping, from the bar staff to the breakfast waiter. What a great bunch of people and a credit to hotel. All friendly and very helpful. Had a lovely chat to Anthony (breakfast waiter) very funny and a great host. That's the positive side to the hotel. Unfortunately the building itself is a little tired in places (mainly the bedrooms) our room had some dated furniture and the shower surround looked like it could do with changing. Having said that, there seemed to be work ongoing to freshen up these areas.

The bar and eating areas were very clean and tidy. We ate in the bar on our first night. We both ordered sirloin steak (medium and medium rare) both steaks were a little chewy, so ended up cutting off the edges on both steaks. Other than that, the rest of the meals was lovely. Very nice cooked full English for breakfast. I would be happy to stay again and recommend to friends.

I stayed in September end of season. Staff were superb. Very professional, very friendly. Breakfast staff very warm and polite and friendly conversation. Breakfast - full English was excellent, and very full! Nice room, great shower. Good car park on site. Would recommend it.

Friendly staff, very nice atmosphere for a small pub, well decorated and a nice selection of pub grub food on offer for a very reasonable price. While our food came out in the wrong order, the young man serving us was very polite and apologetic and sorted us out without hesitation. Restaurant has two entrances, the rear one I believe to be wheelchair friendly. Very well situated only a couple of minutes walk from the beachfront and has a small but adequate carpark to the side and rear.
