Services
Trehellas House has a long and interesting history, being at various times a farm house, a court house and the local village inn where many village functions were held. Around about 100 years before the hotel was built, parliamentarian commander Oliver Cromwell rode by, en-route to secure Wadebridge bridge from the Cornish royalists.
Trehellas started life as a posting inn - the Washaway Inn - and was converted to a farmhouse in the late nineteenth century, subsequently becoming a private house in the twentieth century. The elegant Old House and its neighbouring Coach House have since been completely refurbished to provide delightful hotel accommodation for families, couples and business people alike.
A large superior bedroom with King size bed and front & back views overlooking Pencarrow woods & Farmland. The bed can be split to make twin beds. This room has a bath with a shower over. This room was once a Courthouse, part of the 100 Trigg. Today our principal bedroom, a faboulous suite of 500 sq ft.
The hotel offers the perfect intimate wedding venue with its romantic restaurant and award-winning cuisine, friendly hospitality, lovely gardens and famous Courtroom suite. You and your guests will find the Hotel the perfect wedding venue. The Courtroom suite offers spacious, luxury accommodation with a very large bathroom and lounge area.

We recently visited, for a one night stay, with our 9month old pup. Really dog friendly. Lovely location, with lots of walks and dog friendly places to visit hear by. Room was nice, a little hot, so we slept with the windows open. WiFi was poor. Breakfast was lovely, good quality ingrediants. We would look to visit again to explore the local area and stay here again.

A very nice venue which impressed me how clean it is in there. The staff is very friendly and patient. I would mention the gentleman from the reception ( I am really sorry that I dont't know his name so I can mention him by the name) that was very kind, helpful and funny. The food is very good as well. Thank you for your hospitality!

Excellent hotel with very good food. The menu is small but very good. The room I had was quite small, but OK for a one day visit.

Lovely hotel. Excellent service. Lovely evening meal and breakfast. Could take our dogs so a great bonus. To get 5 star Sheets on bed creased Radiator in room not working No chair in my dad's room to sit down, he's 87 a stool not enough. A lamp by the bed is needed in single room so you don't have to get out of bed to turn light off I would recommend and stay again.

Amazing place for a country side air, wonderful cottage and dog friendly with good value per dog. Having said that, you need to go out if you have a more active dog, and find a safe place to let off lead. So, the room was beautiful, the restaurant was wonderful, and the staff was absolutely perfect in any way possible, went beyond anything to make us feel good and happy.

The food absolutely marvelous and attention to details. We had a wonderful surprise from staff on our wedding anniversary. I cannot fault them, it was just perfect. Thank you!

Staff were lovely, polite friendly and helpful, however, the room was exceptionally disappointing. dull. cold. and simply the worst bed I have slept in. let alone paid to sleep in, a serious leak from the room above. Wi-Fi was stated as available but where we were it was non-existent. worse still it was very musty. unpleasant, to start with we accepted it. we were booked in for two nights but checked out after the first night, to stay in a Premier Inn.

I asked for a refund for the second night and was told it would happen, but the refund has not occurred, therefore the customer service is as poor as the rooms. The Premier Inn was cheaper and far far superior in comfort and facilities. I left my number. but have had no contact or apology from Trehellas. guess customer satisfaction is not that important.

Absolutely loved it here, friendly staff, our room was very comfortable. I can highly recommend the restaurant, especially the steaks, and not forgetting the Goats do roam wine.

Lovely place to stay, friendly staff, delicious food the only criticism is the bedrooms need a bit of decorating.

I stayed overnight enroute to a dear friends funeral. The staff were friendly, helpful and inviting. The room was a good size, clean and the bed was very comfortable. I slept well. I also had dinner in the restaurant and so glad I did. The food was great for all three courses. I can also highly recommend the Baccus wine. Will definitely be booking here if I need to stay in the area again.

On the whole a positive experience. Room was ok but needed another armchair as one of us had to sit on a stool. Apparently if I had booked direct with the hotel I could have chosen our room but I was told as I booked through Hotel.com I booked a certain room which I didn't know. I shall know next time! The food was good but could have done with more mains dishes.

It was well presented and was a decent amount. The largest compliment has to go to the staff. Without exception they were courteous, helpful and friendly. We cannot praise them enough. I would certainly recommend the Trehellas Hotel and Restaurant.
