Beautiful grounds and building with a fabulous spa. Unfortunately, afternoon tea was very disappointing. The scones were lovely but the carrot cake was abysmal and the macarons were dyed green (sending our tongues green) and hollow.

We had a wonderful afternoon tea for my 50th birthday. Beautifully presented and a wonderful selection of sandwiches and scones. Wonderful atmosphere, stunning setting and very helpful staff. Thank you.

We had Sunday lunch at this gorgeous house. We were very well looked after by the staff. The food was delicious, beautifully presented. We ate outside, surrounded by the well laid out gardens.

Went for afternoon tea and overall it was good, but the sandwiches were made with stale bread, which I find quite unacceptable. Three stars for: Absolutely gorgeous gardens, nice and friendly staff, and tasty scones.

Had the pleasure of attending a wedding at this fantastic venue Easter weekend From entering to exit the staff went well above and beyond being helpful and the food was exceptional. As for the grounds its set on they are so well kept its a gardeners heaven

Well I will have to say 100% enjoyed the stay here Staff amazing, very friendly! Food great, breakfast in our room cannot fault! Room really good with nice view, soft towels clean fresh space great amenities. Well worth the visit and would FULLY RECOMMEND!

Beautiful setting. I went for the spa, set slightly apart from the main building, you take a short meandering path through beautiful spring flowers. The spa is as you would hope, tranquil, extremely relaxing and for someone like myself on a very tight budget, pure decadence and escapism from the 'real world'. Theresa gave me my two treatments, back and neck massage followed by a session of reflexology she is excellent, very knowledgeable of her career, not just about the massage but the body itself.

I've been for several massages at various places, none have given a decent hard massage when requested. Theresa on the other hand gets deep into the muscles, pushing out the knotty tension. The foot treatment too, was a revelation and deeply relaxing. I digress, I didn't go inside the house itself but spoke to an overnight patron who was extremely pleased with the entire experience of her stay. Thoroughly recommend.

We love this place! The rooms are stunning, the staff are so friendly and it has beautiful grounds to walk around. We ate at the village pub which was delicious. In particular we loved the spa, it's private and quiet, and has beautiful views of the countryside. Had one of my best facials ever!

Have been here many times over the years. The food and service have always been excellent. Barnsley house is a beautiful old building with plenty of parking. I seem to come here when it is dark so can't comment on the garden area. But the little I have seen is well cared for. A final comment on the staff they are faultless. Will continue to visit here.

We had dinner at the Potager restaurant. The food was great, as always. Unfortunately the service fell flat on this occasion, and we were left slightly disappointed with the experience. Service was generally slow and clumsy. We were served another table's starters. A member of staff's mobile phone ringing loudly on multiple occasions during service, and having to ask for our table to be cleared when dishes were left after our main courses.

When you are paying a discretionary 30 service charge, I would expect a much higher standard of dining. Having dined here many times before, this is the first time we've had a lukewarm experience, and I hope it was simply an off day. Barnsley House is a beautiful hotel, in quaint grounds, and the restaurant has a wonderful ambience. The food was excellent (I would recommend the rack of lamb, and the fillet of beef), and desserts were also great.

In my view one of the best restaurants/hotels in the Cotswold. The spa is amazing, with outdoor hot pool overlooking fields with a fire. The food is always top notch, and the drinks menu goes on for miles. I have stayed in various rooms and they have all been superb

A home from home with the exception of incredible service food and drinks! The place is amazing will certainly be returning perfectly cosy for a relaxing break

I stayed here for 4 nights in one of the converted out buildings. Beautifully converted into a very comfortable relaxing room with character and luxury. Ate here for breakfast and two evening meals. Also ate in the pub opposite once, which is owned by the same company. Really nice food made from fresh ingredients grown or reared in the grounds. I like good food and it was really delicious.

Lovely atmosphere throughout the hotel and restaurant. Great spa treatment. Had a simple massage but very well done in nice surroundings. Beautiful grounds even in the winter. Very helpful friendly staff. Electric car charging in car park. Would definitely go back if in the area.

Had an amazing stay- food was incredible at the local pub. Cannot wait to visit again. The cinema room and spa were fantastic too. Thanks for looking after us

The food quality was woefully disappointing. I ve had better breakfasts and dinners in my local cafe.! Hotel is adorable and the Manager doing his best to deliver the promised expectation. Farm activity or maybe deliveries woke me up both mornings. So I left more tired than I arrived. In these difficult times don't want to complain But . .

Gorgeous location. Excellent staff. Perfectly appointed rooms. The food was sublime. Felt comfortable and at home. The wifi could be better Spa was perfect and relaxing. Would recommend and also plan to go back. Many times.

Never tend to write reviews but had to applaud Debbie on my amazing facial and massage. She made me feel so at ease, was friendly but still respectful, and did a truly wonderful massage! Would definitely come again!

Stayed here for a friends wedding and it was stunning. Beautiful location and I could've lived in the bathroom we had which was absolutely huge. Good breakfast options and lots of the food was grown on site too which was lovely to see.
