I stayed here with my partner just before Christmas and I would like to come here again if i stayed in blackpool. The hotel room was lovely. At that time of the year it was cold weather and it was great coming back to the hotel room to have a nice hot bath! I also very enjoyed the Breakfast Buffet in the morning. Was all good quality. Can only imagine this place is a hit in the summer when the park is open.

We have stayed at this hotel many times. It never fails to meet our high expectations. The comfortable bedrooms have the bonus of air con which is great in summer. Food is good and staff is friendly. There is also a gym for the fitness buffs.

Lovely hotel and room but people walking through car park could see straight in so no privacy what so ever. Would be a good idea to give families with young children rooms away from high traffic areas such as near the main entrance to floors where doors are opening and closing all the time and the rooms on the lower floor adjacent to the car park as all you can hear is cars starting up and people slamming car doors and boots. Note for hotel. It's not easy getting a young child back to sleep after they have been woken up by a loud noise and if the kids are awake the parents are awake.

Lovely hotel will possible views of the pleasure Beach. We had roller coasters passing by our window 30 feet away. A really unique view. I stood for ages watching people shoot by my window. Nice and quiet at night. The restaurant is superb for meals.and breakfast. All staff friendly and helpful.

Firstly let's start by saying what a amazing hotel! Everywhere was very clean and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. The receptionist were very friendly and so were the bar staff. The rooms are very clean and beds are made daily by the cleaners, which in fact deserve credit. The buffet breakfast was incredible. The wifi could be improved in the rooms. I fully recommend this hotel if you have a family, wanting a relaxing break.

I stayed here so I could explore Blackpool and the pleasure Beach, really loved the dinner at the restaurant amazing service and great quality food, also a big thanks for a good non alcohol menu as i was on a alcohol free 40 days 40 nights and their choice was great and tasty. the breakfast was rooms were excellent and very clean, I had a few extras like bath robe chocolates and beer for arrival to the room which was nice, and the room was well equipped for a family.

I could view all the rides from my room as well. Again being in Blackpool it's a great location with easy access to restaurants. I asked the receptionist on my second evening where is best in town for fish and chips and she gave me a great suggestion of pappas as well as calling a taxi for me. Great service fantastic food and drink and extremely clean, well done big blue hotel team, I always had the opion of Blackpool as run down and not a pleasant place to be but the team have changed my mind and will be back again, hoping the weather is as good as it was when I was staying here for my next holiday.

First holiday away and I must say the staff made it amazing. They are so helpful and friendly I have never seen a team like it. The hotel it's self is definitely worth the money and will most definitely be staying here again.

Lovely hotel so accommodating people allergies. Staff above beyond call of duty.if i could give them 10 stars i would. Fantastic 2 little niggles plug sockets in room they were 6 plugs on one wall but not side beds so bring extension. No glasses or water in the rooms.can be quite hot stuffy even window open.

Perfect location for easy access to the tram and the promenade. The family rooms were great for our grandsons. They loved the bunk beds. We had a double room which was large and plenty of storage space. Excellent breakfast choice from the buffet. The staff are the stars and a credit to the hotel during these difficult times. Every staff member wore a mask at all times.

As did we, but a shame the same can't be said for all guests. Not much to ask for the short time it is required, between room and exit, or en route to your table or selecting breakfast from the buffet. Friends who had stayed in the hotel before told us it was great. They were right.

Love this hotel, extremely lovely staff. I suffer massively from anxiety issues, but nothing is to much for them, always helpful. We always stay in s suite, with views of the pleasure beach, my wife as very bad fibromyalgia, but feels so comfortable in the lovely suite. We have booked for march again this year. So lucking forward to coming, knowing we always get such a friendly welcome. Thanks Big Blue

Stopped here every year (apart from 2020 for obvious reasons!) since 2014 as a family treat between Christmas and New Year. Two nights in a family room with one evening meal and breakfast both mornings included. Have to say, very disappointed this time round. The 35% increase in price since our last stay in December 2019 was certainly not reflected in the service, condition of the hotel rooms or meals on offer.

The first room we were offered smelled awful, the second room heated up to 25*C during the night with no radiator on, the evening meal was a selection of cold sandwiches or variations on the kids menu, the breakfast was certainly done on the cheap compared to previous years and the 30 parking charge is just daylight robbery. It was 5 in 2019 and free prior to that. We did get the charge refunded after my wife complained. I suggest you do the same. I don't think we'll be bothering with The Big Blue Hotel in future.

Just returned from a two night stay - hotel excellent. Staff in every area were friendly, professional and nothing too much trouble. Good sized clean rooms with comfortable beds and everything that you need. Also excellent food and would recommend to anybody looking for a base near to the Pleasure Beach - ideal location *

Weekend trip with the other half for anniversary, it was amazing, our second time staying so we splashed out for a suite and it Was. Worth. It. 100% would advise anyone to treat themselves to it, room service was great, reception staff were incredibly helpful and polite, the beds are the most comfortable thing we've ever lay on. Definitely recommend to anyone.

Stayed here many times since it first opened nearly 20 years ago and it is still as good now as it was then. Breakfast is fantastic with good quality ingredients and plenty of choice, food in the brasserie restaurant is equally as good. A bit of competition now with the new hotel opened next door which is more expensive but both are owned by the pleasure beach so will be of a decent standard. Ideally quite location at the south end but still in my opinion the best hotel in Blackpool

Loved how child friendly the hotel is. The kids room is a bonus with a bunk bed, PlayStation, 2 x TVs and a giant snakes and ladders type of game. My kids were occupied in their own zone giving my wife and I the much needed alone time. The rooms are spacious and well decorated. We're right next to the pleasure park but couldn't hear a thing so it's well insulated.

Breakfast is perfect with plenty of options. I could have my family over to our room who were staying at different hotels and this was also a major bonus. I loved every day I spent in the hotel and cannot wait to b visit again.

Just spent two nights at the Big Blue hotel in Blackpool. It was lovely. The staff are friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble for them. The rooms are comfortable and very clean with everything you need for a great holiday. We ate in the hotel restaurant during our stay and it was amazing. The food was delicious with lots of choice and the restaurant staff were lovely. We look forward to staying here again as we had such a lovely stay.

The room we stayed in was spacious and clean with good facilities and a large bed. There was ample hanging space for clothes and shelves for bags etc. the view was of the beach and it was a very comfortable room. However, despite us thinking the school holidays were over, our corridor seemed to be full of children. Loud, unruly children who ran up and down the corridor and the room next door with seemingly no adult supervision.

This went on until about midnight. I can only assume that the child friendly rooms were on our corridor. During breakfast which was a decent buffet affair, the staff continually and noisily shuffled cutlery in a plastic container right next to our table. At least it drowned out the sound of the children. When we came to leave it was impossible to get a lift down from the top floor. Touring on motorbikes meant we had more bags (but smaller) than usual and every time the lift made it to the top floor it was already full (normally with children) who had intercepted it on its way up but who actually wanted to go down or who were just playing in the lifts, again with no adults in sight. I can see how this hotel can be fantastic but if you do not want to be surrounded by children and kept awake at night, give the school holidays a wide berth.

The Big Blue is just away from the main street of Blackpool, not too far away but just far enough that your away from all the noise etc. I don't go to Blackpool often however my impression is that it's not exactly posh! I'd say the Big Blue is probably the most decent looking hotel in Blackpool (from what i've seen so far!). It is right next to the Pleasure Beach which is very handy.

We only visited to go to the bar as we were meeting my boyfriends parents for some evening drinks, but we did get a tour of their bedroom which looked pretty decent - their room was placed right next to the rollarcoaster so that was pretty awesome I think. The bar itself was not too bad, it wasn't a large area as it was sort of part of the main restaurant.

They had some comfy sofas which we managed to get as it was quite a quiet evening. We had a few cocktails and they were delicious! The prices were just the normal as you would get at any bar really - cocktail was around 7. This is the only hotel i've been to in Blackpool so far so I can't really compare, but it's nice enough to relax in if your looking to chill with a couple of evening cocktails.

Generally speaking a very pleasant hotel. Good points: shower, room size, room decor, breakfast, free wifi. Bad points: I'd have expected a much larger and much much more comfortable bed at the price we paid, especially as we had one of their deluxe rooms.
