Was here for q friends wedding really enjoyed our stay we will be back

Hotel settled close to centrum. Location great. Hotel simple but nice. Nice staaf, good breakfast.

We had a wedding reception here lovely venue good staff very good food hog roast ,w ell worth a visit

Arrived at the Best Western Newark-on-Trent on the 8th of April, the reception was durty and the room was full of dust and sticky. When I checked the bed I found blood on the sheets. The manager was not polite and also not interested in offering a solution.

Very tired hotel.but the staff and people were brilliant.cooked breakfast good.just needs a good refurb.

Currently on my last night of a 4 night stay here for work purposes. Yes the rooms are slightly dated and basic but they have everything you need and would expect for this star hotel! It's clean and functional and the staff have been ever so friendly (feel like I was a pain sometimes but they were so friendly!) The breakfast has been nice and again what you would expect for this kind of hotel.

The evening meals have been nice apart from the curry night which I just say I have never seen or tasted a chicken tikka masala like it but apart from that the food has been nice! Would stay here again for the same purpose (work) again for sure. I am on the front which is quite loud as it is on a main road but luckily I am a heavy sleeper, but you can here people and also sometimes smell smoke from people smoking outside the door but didn't really bother me but could bother some people. Thanks again to all the staff :) you have been lovely!

Pleasant hotel, a little tired but clean and tidy. Staff were very nice. Breakfast was pretty good. Very accommodating bar staff. Been before and will return.

Shower pressure good but that's about it. Bedside lamp broken and the floor was preferable to the bed which was absurdly loud/creaky and too short, feeling of dread as soon as I sat on it. (room 28) Staff friendly and polite but noticeably do not ask how your stay was when you check out.

A great place to stay. Small room, but nice and clean. Most importantly, the customer service was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble. We said we were vegan and next day we found vegan biscuits in the room, sucha lovely gesture, thank you! Highly recommended.

My Mum and Stepdad had their wedding here very recently, and although I didn't stay overnight, the experience was brilliant. The entire evening was incredibly smooth, everything was taken care of. The food was exquisite, the service was world class. The room hired was also a very nice space, would recommend this place to anybody.

Very basic, tired looking and the bathroom smelled of a mixture of mint and mold which was not very enticing. The staff were all very friendly and kind. I had breakfast but went out for the evening meal. Given the option I would choose somewhere else to stay next time in Newark

Pretty much agree with the above review in the fact that the hotel is nothing flashy but rooms are very functional, cosy, clean and everything no matter how basic is in full working order. Friendly & helpful staff made our 2 day stay very comfortable. The one down side if i did have to give one would be some noisy neighboring dogs constantly howling which wasnt the best first thing in the morning. Would we stay here again? probably no but not through any bad experience.

Stayed here a few times now, clean and functional. Rooms OK, have all you need. They have a small bar and restaurant, food was good, although breakfast very slow. It's a bit of a walk into civilisation but some nice bars and restaurants if you want to eat out rather than in the Hotel.
