The hotel is in a very good location by the station and it is literally over the road and around the corner from the late night bars. The staff were very good as when I walked in check in was minutes and was very fast. I am very impressed with this hotel. The room was nice, bathroom was a bit small for anyone needing the extra space but doesn't bother me.

The perfect overnight stay in Wakefield. Good location near all the nightlife, the hotel room has everything you need for a comfortable visit.

I stayed at hotel and was allocated room 215 which was very nice until i when to have a shower; there was a big shower head and a small one the big one did not work and the small one the bracket was broken, i had to hole the small shower head whilst having a shower, i inform the reception that if they could fix this i would like to move rooms.when i return that evening i was in form the manager would repair this in the morning and there was no rooms available i ask for some string to tie the shower head up but with no success all i got form the gentleman was laughing and no help ---i would not recommend this hotel to my work colleagues

Disappointing. Room was not clean properly - main lighting and card switch/socket did not work so I had no light in bedroom ceiling nor in the bathroom. Had to survive with a small bedside lamp only. Also very dirty carpet. Reception was not helpful at all. During the night somebody was really loud on the corridor, I went to see the receptionist, but nobody was there, door locked ( It was suppose to be 24/7 ). Will not stay again. Do not recommend.

Hotel is really close to the train station, but that's it. I think this place is a homeless shelter. Most guess of the hotel are homeless. Some of them asked me for food and money. It's great that they want to help these people, but can't really call yourself a hotel in that situation. Reception was not 24/7 as I was informed when I arrived. Light in the room did not work.

Clean and comfortable hotel and I had a good sized room. Staff were friendly and helpful. The decor is starting to look a bit tired. There is also a lack of attention to detail - no bedside lamps for instance, light switches needing to be repaired. But good value.

I'm a disabled man and I did have a few problems when I first arrived at the York House Hotel, Drury Lane, Wakefield on the 23/07/21, however once I had spoken to the manager and owner of the hotel, all the issues I raised were quickly rectified and sorted out. The staff at the hotel cannot do enough to ensure that your stay at the hotel is a pleasant one.

The hotel complied to all of the current Covid-19 government guidelines. Rooms were kept very clean. I have been at the hotel 10 days now and a very much look forward to the next week's or months.

Don't stay here. Stayed for 2 nights while I was on business. It felt like some kind of half way house. Room was tiny, no furniture, no lamps in the room, shower barely worked and had no pressure. Mini fridge was radiating heat had to keep it turned off! It reminded me of a place you'd go for a one night stand. Place is awful! Definitely won't be staying again. Go elsewhere!

I really enjoyed my stay here. Very welcoming and friendly throughout. My room was compact but plenty of space for me and the bed was comfy. The bathroom was clean and fresh looking. The temperature of the room was perfect, quite often hotels are too warm. Breakfast was great too, the menu looked good but didn't feel like a cooked breakfast, and opted for yoghurt, toast and a banana. The lady who served me was very friendly and attentive.
