Fantastic and personable welcome from the host. Beautifully and imaginatively decorated and newly refurbished rooms. Cosy common room with music, perfect to hang out after dinner. And our favourite: delicious and huge breakfast all made from scratch by the hosts. We had a great time and would definitely go back! :

Lovely hotel with great owners! Our room was very nicely decorated and large, with a sitting area and lots of storage in the bathroom for longer stays. Breakfast was very good and service was exceptional.

The breakfasts were amazing, the bedroom was very clean and very comfortable. Mel was very friendly and gave us tips about places to visit around the area. The guest house was close to the seafront, we have a dog and we're able to bring her with us, Mel gave her a few treats, all in all a very enjoyable break.

So you are looking for a place to stay in Eastbourne for the weekend? Or maybe a short summer trip to the coast? And you are vegan? You were wishing if only there was a B&B that served vegan breakfast. You have a dog and want a place that would let your dog stay with you. You know what? Your wishes have been granted. Look no further. This cosy B&B in Eastbourne less than 10 minutes away from the giant wheel at the sea shore is the perfect place to stay.

The rooms are cute and cosy. The host is absolutely lovely and the food scrumptious! Learn about the best walks, restaurants and cafeterias around the place from the host, Melanie. The large lovely reception room is gorgeous and is a lovely place to relax if you feel like your room isn't enough for you. There is a Little something Honesty Box right next to the couch for you to grab a drink and write down and you'll pay when you check out.

The rooms are very colour coordinated, matching wall paper, paint and curtains, beautiful complementary art work. Charming rooms with a cute shower and toilet. Just what we were looking for. And they were ready and neat! In short, just stop looking and start booking here. Give them a ring or use booking.com or whatever you fancy.

This is such a gem of a place. Really close to the front and the lawn tennis club and near local restaurants. We had a little walk to Tesco Express and found we were nearly back at the railway station. The hotel itself is lovely and such attention to detail. There is a really warm and welcoming lounge where guests can help themselves to tea and coffee and there are snacks with an honesty box.

The rooms are beautifully decorated and colour co ordinated with quirky additions. We had Room 3 which had the lovely paisley wallpaper and fabulous cushions. The rooms are all decorated differently so it is a real treat for those interested in interiors. So I was already won over and then came the breakfast. There was a menu - photo attached. So fantastic.

I managed to resist the waffle which looks so fantastic in other pictures. Went for the scrambled eggs and smoked salmon and it was truly fantastic. Melanie gave us loads of local info and gossip.what a great lady! My only regret was that I hadn't booked for longer.such value for money after all. Don't ask me abut parking. I do public transport. No-one should ever under estimate the work that goes into running a place like this to such a high standard.especially when they have had since a hard time having to close over 2 lockdowns.the running costs on a place like this must be astronomical. hats off to small hoteliers!

I visited The Cherry Tree with my mom last weekend. From the moment we walked in, you could feel the homely, inviting atmosphere. Melanie, the owner, was friendly and warm in talking to us. Firstly she adjusted our room since I made a wrong booking on the system. Then she gave us amazing tips on where to go and what to see in the area. The breakfast was incredibly delicious and my mom was even given a Polish version of the menu since she does not speak English. Rooms were really clean and beautifully arranged. I highly recommend and will definitely be back.

A lovely welcome/ advice from the owners of this quirky gem of a guesthouse in a perfect location for eateries and theatres. Our room was clean, tidy and perfect for our needs. Added extras included use of a warm, inviting living area where you could purchase drinks and snacks at low prices. Breakfast had plenty of choice (lots of it too!) and was great for vegetarians with a slight twist on a theme. Many thanks.

Loved the intimacy and tidiness of this little gem near the sea in Eastbourne. Me and my partner booked the Hotel Room with on suite bathroom, very nice indeed. Loved the fact breakfast is cooked fresh every day, even though we could only enjoy it once as we only stayed one night. We would definitely stay at The Cherry Tree again if we ever went back to Eastbourne, hopefully with a much better weather!

Fantastic find! Owners are so helpful and friendly. We were taken to our gorgeous room which was fine for size, bathroom on the small side but worked well for us. We had the most delicious breakfast and even had a sausage cooked each day for our dog. When we returned to our room later that day a dog water bowl, food bowl and mat had been provided which was lovely touch.

The communal lounge was decorated beautifully and is a really nice area to relax and unwind in. The TV in the room had plenty of channels but the Olympics were on so we had to watch that each night. I would highly recommend staying here and will be back in the future.
