White Hart Hotel A pleasant Hamstone Grade II listed coaching inn dating from 1735, the White Hart is a comfortable, family run hotel in the heart of South Somerset. All of our rooms have tea/coffee making facilities and a colour television, and the hotel is completely centrally heated. Our Conference facilities and skittle alley are in a separate building behind the hotel, which has its own bar and toilets. We are ideally situated as a base from which to explore the beautiful, hidden delights of Somerset and Dorset.

Shower was crusted, meaning water jets were random, and pressure was terrible, rooms were really clean & comfy.

The white hart always has a lovely atmosphere about it and feels natural but yet full of life. The hosts Peter and Isabelle are amazing. Always full of energy and cheer and treat you like family members not customers. The food is superb and the bar has a large array of drinks for anyone's pallet. Flo is a very bubbly young lady who compliments the team along with Matt behind the Bar. Well done team keep up the hard work.

Have had several fantastic meals here. The poire Helene was incredible and the cointreau creme brulee delicious.

Invited to a Royal British Legion Xmas lunch at the hotel on 11th December. Lovely food and service provided by hotel staff. Chose the vegetarian option as main and good flavour and selection of vegetables too. Lemon crunch for dessert which was really tasty. Waitresses and lady owner all very welcoming and accommodating. Enjoyable time had by all.

A really friendly, family run hotel. The building is around 300 years old and in some ways it shows however this adds to the charm of the place. The rooms are basic but have the essentials required. The fan for the ensuite is noisy but cuts out are a couple of minutes so is a minor annoyance. The shower was a not particularly roomy however this was more than made up for by the power.

The included continental breakfast is nice, the croissants are delightful, with a selection of cereals, fruit and plants of toast. The optional cooked breakfast is good and reasonable for the uplift. The evening dining was very good overall with a good selection cooked very well with quality ingredients. They also use quality ingredients for the kids menu too which is a nice touch.

Small, beautiful hotel at a reasonable price and dog friendly. The owners and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Chapeau! On the other hand, the rooms have extremely thin walls and you can hear your neighbours as they were in your own room, specially when using the toilet as the light switches on the air extractor. Food was not great either.
