Preston Hotel

Nice hotel with good sized rooms and facilities at a reasonable price. Full English breakfast provided in the morning which is a good start to the day. Staff all very friendly.

This is a nice hotel. Currently undergoing sympathetic renovations to the interior and exterior so as not to inconvenience guests. Rooms are a little 'behind the times regarding decor but exceptionally clean with good amenities. For a business that label's itself as a Hotel, I would expect someone on reception 24/7 but sadly this is not the case and you are often left with nowhere to turn if you require any hotel services (such as checking in/out, which can only be carried out at certain times - not added to the website) All in all, we e joyed our stay.

Having held the memorial service for my son at the Preston in January 2020, I had no hesitation in returning for my husband's wake this month, and I was not disappointed. Meg could not have been more friendly and helpful. She was concerned that everything should be just as I wanted it, and nothing was too much trouble. The memory table was beautiful, and the food excellent and plentiful. Thank you for everything.

Small and popular place to stay. Had a room in the annexe which was good size. Staff very friendly. Vegetarian option for breakfast was nice.

TV didn't work properly Hot Water in bathroom either cold or so hot you could make tea. Grout in bathroom brown and stained. When a complaint was made and asked to move rooms was told were fully booked even though they clearly weren't. Receptionist told customer they were rude. Even though she was!

When we arrived we couldn't find the reception because there wasn't one we had to shout over the very loud live music which wasn't even good to speak to the receptionist in the corridor only to get asked if we had ID to stay even though it wasn't said we needed any to stay and had already paid so had to ask for a refund but then they came back out of the office with a piece of paper and asked to write our birthdays and addresses down then was take to our room right above the live music and the floor is vibrating and can hear it all clearly and doesn't stop until 12 at night but aside from all of that the decor is horrible the wallpapers falling off everywhere and in the room it's bland and random with about 6 mirrors around the room for decoration with a piece of the wallpaper in a frame above the bed. Do not come here it should be on hotel hell with Gordon Ramsey

Really nice hotel. Very friendly staff and nice bar. Live entertainment was really good and it had a great atmosphere. Good location just out of the town centre, nice and quiet and the room was big and very comfortable.

Great pub and place to stay just outside of yeovil Town centre, ample parking, rooms are functional but clean, breakfast is lovely and Meg cooks a lovely curry on Thursday night all from scratch and she is an excellent cake maker ad well, she has a real talent and Deep made us feel very welcome and also he is brilliant behind the bar, they are so friendly and always making time for a chat while going about there business, I cannot recommend this place more highly, just book it you will not be disappointed.

We held a celebration of my mother's life at The Preston Hotel. Meg & her team were wonderful, helpful & caring. The food was delicious & plentiful, served by friendly staff. There was no rush, we were made to feel welcome. Highly recommended

Just had a wake at this hotel. Excellent service and food would highly recommend. Memory table was a lovely touch. Lots of positive feedback from everyone who attended the wake. Thank-you for everything.
