Lovely setting, attentive staff, not sure about setting for children. Enjoyed the wedding I attended today.

Staff are friendly but drinks are quite pricey. Our room was quite small but cozy. Nice bathroom. Very beautiful grounds and the room itself wasn't that expensive.

The bar staff and receptionist provided such a great service. The manager was helpful above and beyond. What great hotel what great service.

Our room was absolutely tiny; I'm sure there are bigger rooms if you ask for one. However, the shower was unusable - siezed/locked on hot - and just made the rest of the next day less palatable.

I went to an anniversary meal. Service very slow, no soup spoons on table, everyone had eaten their main meals, I hadn't had my meal, after asking many times eventually got a meal with no potatoes on it, and no apologies for the wait and everyone looking at me eating which was embarrassing. No glasses on table for water, when I asked for a glass waitress rolled her eyes at me.

She bought glass and banged it down on table. I didn't want to complain about issues as it wasnt my party and I felt I couldnt complain. So I thought a review was the best way to show how disappointed I was with the whole experience.

Beautiful old building with grounds including secure car park. Small reception immediately through front door with helpful staff (bit slow). I was allocated a room on the top floor which meant climbing 3 stairs and winding corridors. Room was compact to say the least, however had all required amenities. Bathroom small and a bit cramped due to roof elevation.

Breakfast his served in main restaurant with varied menu selection (hotel was busy with service a bit slow). Main bar serving drinks and bar food is adequate. No real atmosphere as only radio playing, no television. Hotel is a bit tired like many following COVID. Reasonable price compensates but not a returning favourite for me.

Ian catered for my Father's funeral. Relatives travelled from Ireland and are there stay with exception customer service. Ian made sure staff and everything and everyone was catered for. My father would have been proud of his day! Thank you to all who had taken care of my relatives stay and the amazing send off for Dads wake.

The food was incredible. Loved the Chargrilled Venison Steak, Wild mushrooms in cream that I had. My partner was equally pleased with his Beef Brisket especially the very fresh vegetables and the potatoes were surprisingly delightful. Davina was an absolute star, loved her energy and effortless charm. She added to the loveliness of the evening will definitely come more often.

Staff were lovely and friendly nothing was too much trouble. Chef was amazing and the room was spotless. In all a great stay and will definitely will be going back.

Great food in the restaurant and when things went wrong the staff and manager made it right even late at night. Katie was amazing on reception. Nora and Davina also great fun and great service! Will see you guys and girls next month! Rooms are dated and really need updating, but comfy bed and cleaned daily.
