Ty Croeso (pronounced Tee Croy-so) translates from Welsh to 'House of Welcome' and you can be sure of a warm and friendly welcome from Linda Jarrett and Pavel Vitek and their staff. The hotel is set high on the hillside just above the Monmouth & Brecon canal only half a mile from the charming town of Crickhowell in the Brecon Beacons National Park. Ty Croeso is constructed from Welsh stone and dates from the early 19th century when it was part of a Victorian workhouse.

A genuine gem of a find! This little family-run B&B is one of the set in a very pretty site and the owners go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Alex could not do enough and the breakfasts were fabulous, as were the Welsh cakes. Great walks along the canal and into the village - recommended highly! As cyclists, we found the whole experience very enjoyable and the local knowledge and assistance invaluable.

One of the friendliest and most comfortable stays I have had any where in the world. Genuinely lovely family and team, really responsive and interested in their guests experience without being intrusive. They put the A into accommodating, in every sense of the word. I will come back, and I would recommend anyone looking for a quiet retreat or a base camp to explore the Breacons to do so too. If you happen to be running Spartan Wales in 2022, this is where you should be staying! They even have a natural spring basin to wash off your kit!

We have just spent the last week at Ty Croeso B&B and we wish we were still there - it was above and beyond our expectations! Alex & Cory were incredible hosts and they made us feel so welcome - nothing was too much trouble for them and they went out of their way to make our stay a memorable one. We stayed in the loft suite and it is a stunning apartment running the length of the house, super spacious and very quiet.
We slept like a dream. The breakfast offering was very plentiful and delicious - the perfect way to start the day and views for days if your lucky enough with the weather. The location is perfect - we didn't use the car all week as there are plenty of excellent walks on the doorstep, all starting from the B&B. The canal on the way down to the town was an unexpected delight - and you can walk for miles in either direction. Restaurants in the town were also fantastic - highly recommend The Vine and The Angel (in Abergavenny) - we had the most delicious steak there, and only a short taxi trip from the B&B which Alex helpfully arranged. Thanks again Alex & Cory - we are already planning our next trip back!
