A superb 4 star hotel in Aberdovey, a few little side rooms to relax and congregate in with family and friends. Also a hotel bar! We stayed here at least seven times and had some hearty breakfasts and dinners in the restaurant. The staff are friendly and the play areas for the children are great too (pool table, air hockey and toys for the younger ones).
The pool and jacuzzi is a lovely set up too. A short walk to the sand dunes and a little longer in to Aberdovey itself (crabbing on the pier and amazing fish and chips, shops and cafes too). The hotel's pitch and putt is a nice family activity to do. It's dog friendly on a couple of the floors. We've stayed in a range of rooms here over the years and all are good.
The 4th floor is a nicest! Thank goodness they now have duvets in every room (it used to be blankets and sheets!) The sea view is worth the extra money too. Just booked to go back again this summer!

Excellent food with generous portions, welcoming staff, very pleasant rooms, and a great location. The play room for toddlers was basic but a really good idea and very much appreciated for occupying children in wet weather and before dinner. Getting to the beach involves quite a scramble down steep sand dunes or a 10 minute walk into town where the beach flattens out but if you can manage either of these the location is perfect and the beach great.
Staff were really helpful with the children during meals, often popping by to say hello and distract them from the monotony of sitting down for extended periods. The pool and facilities were always clean and the lounges a great place to relax. My only issues were a shower that never really got hot and the owner of an Alsatian in the room above us who decided to have a chat with his dog as it ran around the room between 3 and 4 each morning- I'm sure we'd have been offered another room if we'd asked but with 2 kids who slept through this and all the accompanying gear it didn't seem worth mentioning. We look forward to visiting again!

We are staying in the fabulous Seascape 2 for the week. It's clean, bright and comfortable. We had Sunday lunch for the 10 of us in the hotel (some of the party staying in the hotel) and were all really impressed. The food and service was excellent. Nothing is too much for the staff. Would highly recommend.

Good but living on past glories to some extent. Aberdifi is plagued with noisy and speeding motor cycles at weekends. So if you're on the sea view side, you have a choice when you are in your room - put up with the racket from the (very) nearby road - or close the window and bake if it's hot. There is no Aircon. The beach is not as handy as the brochure photo suggests; the road is hidden and the actual walk across that and the dunes, well I found somewhat daunting.
The set dinner menus were somewhat disappointing. Whilst plenty of choice therein, it didn't offer things one might actually expect at the price - steaks etc. On the plus side, it's a pleasant spot near to good pubs and restaurants (especially) the local Indian, the staff were polite and obliging, furthermore the place has very comfortable lounges. We would certainly return but choose our dates and season more thoughtfully.

We stayed here due to Storm Francis disrupting our camping holiday. The staff were remarkably friendly and sympathetic to our plight. The hotel has lovely grounds for us to walk the dog and the dunes and beach are just over the road. The rooms were clean, well maintained and very comfortable. We didn't eat in the restaurant so can't review but as a haven through the storm we couldn't have asked for more.

Whilst caught in Storm Francis in a tent, we took.shelter for the night at the Trefeddian hotel. Fortunately the family room for 3 and a dog was available. Room only. At 200 the price was very expensive but we were in desperate need of somewhere to stay. The room had a balcony, tea and coffee making facilities and comfortable beds. Nice lounge and bar areas.
The only food we tried was panini from the bar snack menu. Nothing fancy but ok. The beach and dunes across the road were great for walking the dog and a golf course right next to the sea if your into golfing.
