Picturesque Inn with cosy log fires, traditional features, 11 en-suite bedrooms and a patio decking area which overlooks the lovely village of Burley. The Burley Inn is situated in a place of great beauty and interest, right in the heart of The New Forest. You do not have to travel far to find such places as The Rufus Stone, Bucklers Hard and Beaulieu Abbey.
Burley was on the main smuggling route from the coast to the south but also has a historic connection with witchcraft (as some local shops demonstrate) and it was as recent as 1950 that Sybil Leek, a self confessed white witch, lived in the village.

We stayed two nights in a Deluxe room. Lucy who greeted us at the entrance was very nice and easy to talk to. The room was clean and tidy. Fully stocked tea, coffee and biscuits with the hot drink making facilities. The bed was nice and big, also very comfortable. Spacious shower cubicle and the shower head sits tall enough to accommodate particularly tall people, as I'm 6'3. Aesthetically downstairs has quite a traditional pub/inn feel to it, which is nice.
The only thing that needs attention is the food. The food sounded great on the menu but what came out was quite basic in quality. Frozen spicy chicken breasts, microwaved ribs etc. We were just hoping for a little more quality considering the prices! All in all we had a quite a pleasant stay.

Staff were friendly, helpful & very knowledgeable about the local area. Room was clean, spacious & comfortable. Local area is very beautiful with pubs, cafes, shops & scenic walks nearby. Food at the hotel was delicious with good veggie & vegan options. The one thing I would improve is access to recycling as I did ask staff but there wasn't any available on site. Highly recommend staying here.

The Burley Inn is lovely! The people are very nice, the atmosphere is great and the room facilities are just what I need. There's plenty of space in the room, simple but nice, and good sized shower/toilet area. Plenty of off-street parking, nice warm pub and lounge area and they even have vegan food. So, all in all, a great choice!

Lovely friendly staff. pleasant room. Very dog friendly. nice breakfast. Nice village Very clean. Although I would have liked to see a few niceties like throws, cushions, wall art, the pine furniture replaced or upcycled and perhaps the bathroom upgraded. We stayed in the deluxe room at 145 a night. I would certainly recommend though

Lovely pub in the middle of Burley, in the New Forest. Great selection of real ales and plenty of seating inside and, if the weather is good, outside. Friendly, swift, service by a fantastic staff. We decided to have lunch and I chose a cheese and ham ploughmans. Huge chunk of cheddar with plenty of bread and about four slices of thickly cut ham with apple and pickle.
My partner, being not quite as hungry, chose a simple prawn baguette. When it arrived it was virtually a prawn salad. So much on that plate. In fact, we didn't have to worry about an evening meal that night. Price, more than reasonable. As we were staying not far away, we made that pub our evening trip for a couple of drinks. Lovely pub.check it out. Well worth a visit.
