Worce service we ever had. We were seated in untidy area for food with blazing sunshine that made it difficult to see the opposite side of the table. Asked to change table more than 4 times. With only 5 tables for breakfast they kept saying that food was priority. On top of that the waitress seated next to us a family of 6 with small twins that screamed on top of their lungs during the whole meal.
Our youngest son had hearing sensitivity and he left the table as he couldn't bear the screaming. We had to put headsets on him to finish the meal. There were people in reception waiting with no-one to attend to them. We asked for customer complaint log and the manager on duty said that there is none and she will make a note. During the conversation there were no notes made in front of me.
Very very poor service. Beds are hard as rock with pillows that had holes in them. Rooms and hall area is untidy and tiered. The wall are very thin and bear in mind if you need good rest you will not find it here. Will never book again. Disappointed. Extremely poor customer service and when raised with the manager Lauren no

Stay was on 10th and 11th May/ 2021 for 4 of us as we were working away. Let me start by saying the STAFF are 5 STAR plus. Genuinely couldn't have had a more polite gentleman on reception and seemingly running things, any queries or requirements were very quickly dealt with in a polite friendly and welcoming way. The ladies who served in the evening were also great, attentive and friendly.
The food here was as good as you would find in any restaurant a really nice updated menu cooked VERY well. The met down is the decor, the old rooms, old carpets and outdated furniture. Also the beds had pillows that we're not great and same for the duvet. The TV although not vitally important only had a few basic channels. Given an update of the later with the great staff and food it would easily make a 5 star review. Please thank your staff and chefs as they were great and you need to hang on to them.

Used this hotel twice this week with my elderly Mum as stop overs to break up long journeys. Plenty of free parking. Staff were polite and helpful and adhered to Lockdown rules. We had a twin room with two single beds. One was against a wall and the other scooted on it's castors a bit too easily as I found out when I got up for the loo in the early hours!
The room was a bit too warm with no controls so we cracked open a window which helped a bit. There were welcome tea, coffee and biscuits facilities The TV was impossible to figure out and we could only manage to watch a couple of channels but even then we couldn't watch it in bed as there was only one pillow per bed and too uncomfortable to prop ourselves up. We didn't have breakfast so can't comment on that. OK value for money I guess but we weren't exactly refreshed after each stay.

Its okay. The grounds are picturesque; we loved watching the squirrels out of the windows at breakfast. The staff were lovely but the breakfast was a let down on both mornings. We even tried cooked breakfast on the first morning then pastries and fruit, yogurt but both were poor. The juice is some kind of watered-down juice. It wasn't terrible but doesn't warrant any more than 3 stars

Good quality food and pleasant service. We visited for Sunday lunch on the 20th September. We had a range of food, including roast dinners and vegetarian options. All the food was very tasty, and whilst the menu is understandably reduced, we still thought there was a good choice. As an added bonus, the hotel is included in Meerkat Meals offer (you must mention this scheme when booking and show proof you are a member) meaning that between Sunday and Thursday you can get two for one on meals (not drinks) which made it extremely good value. The staff were lovely too.

Room when initially taken carpet was very dirty and bad to clean it myself, howeverthe size and facilities in room can't complain. First week not really any issues but then had a lot of issues due to quality and quantity of food and had various conversations which took my about 3-4 weeks before I got it right amount. Quality of food still fluctuate but mainly average food. Housekeeping staff and some staff on reception really kind and welcoming. overall an ok stay but a lot need to improve. Heard a lot about it but definitely didn't match the standards of popularity. I guess acceptable for a short stay rather than long stay.

Stayed at Tillington hall on 2 separate occasions. The drive in on the last time was very damp and dull weather. the reception was very good and we checked in very quickly. We did have a problem in the bathroom with one of the taps leaking but as soon as I reported it to the front desk we were given the option to move to a different room which we accepted and we had no more troubles with the room.
The breakfast is very good and is very good value at hotel standards. Before we arrived I was given an option to upgrade to a suite but since we were only in the room to sleep we didn't think it was necessary. The beds are fairly basic sprung mattress which didn't feel to have any top padding. The pillows are foam as is the duvet but for a few nights it was okay.

We recently stayed for 2 nights for Crufts! Got such a warm welcome and well looked after by Jamie on front desk and he looked after us so well throughout. Company lucky to have him. All staff were friendly and helpful l might add! Rooms immaculate with every amenity. Breakfast was one of the best l have ever tasted in a hotel and equally tasty in the Restaurant. Looking forward to return visit soon.

We had a fantastic stay here over Easter Bank Holiday. The staff were very friendly and the room was very clean. Dinner at the hotel was lovely and fresh, definitely value for money. The shower was amazing, was well needed after our day at the waterpark! I would definitely come back here to stay with family. Thank you for your hospitality.
