Services
Sunnydene was built in 1863, and was a summer holiday home, it has a peppercorn rent which we still pay to this day, about 2 per year. Making the house freehold and the land leasehold, this is unique to only 2 towns in England Great Yarmouth and Manchester. Some of the changes have been, double glazed windows, replaced the fire alarm, had the car park brick weaved, new boiler, refitted the kitchen, converted the ground floor room, bathroom to a wet-room and replaced the beds more than once.Above you can see postcards from previous owners, dating back to the early sixties, when bed, breakfast and evening meal cost 61.34 for 2 weeks stay in 1972, as you can see from the receipt below.

Warm, welcoming and helpful from the moment we arrived. Breakfast was fantastic, great sized room with all the amenities and parking outside. We had a great stay and would recommend this to anyone visiting Great Yarmouth. Very clean, and safe with Covid measures to ensure the safety of all guests. Thank you, we will be back!

Very clean and tidy b & b with lovely beds yes it's dated. Tea and coffee facility, hair dryer, TV in room. Breakfast is a good choice of full breakfast, cereal, toast, tea and coffee. There a bar with TV but never used it. On a nice road away from the seafront but near the Victoria waterway bus stop outside or few minutes walk on seafront. Parking outside for 6 cars parking around the corner is free. 20 minutes stroll to the golden mile. Local shop on corner if you need anything open till 10pm. Pub across the road. Enjoy my stay here would go back if in the area. Always made to feel welcome.

Sunnydene was perfect to use as a base while bus hopping around East Anglia. Very near North Denes beach which is impressive and great for walking. Close to bus stops, in a peaceful part of Great Yarmouth. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast came as a complimentary extra. My bedroom and bed was comfortable and warm, the room and ensuite both larger than I expected. I would stay again without hesitation.
