Furzedown Hotel

We held our Great Granny's wake here and the experience was faultless. The buffet food was prepared and served beautifully and the choice was far better than the average buffet offerings. The beef in the petit pain rolls was tender and full of flavour as was the ham in the ham rolls. The vegans in the group were catered for very well. Individual vegetable flans, pasta and homemade coleslaw were all delicious and appeared to be gratefully received.

The small bar on site was stocked well and the prices were fair which helped regular trips back to the bar not to become a pain in the wallet. The service was attentive and respectfully friendly which helped make a sombre occasion far more bearable. All in all a thoroughly wonderful venue.

Has to be the best hotel in Great Yarmouth. Awesome character, cleanliness and great staff. Always willing to help Rooms are clean and spacious and breakfasts are well cooked. Right on the sea front too. Can't fault it. We'll be back

Quiet location, near the beach. Excellent customer service. Good (cooked) GF breakfast. Superb rib eye steak in Gerrods restaurant. Adequate clean rooms. Would return.

We have just stayed for 4 nights. Wonderful staff - very friendly and helpful - nothing was too much bother. Lovely room overlooking sea with massive bed. Breakfast very good as well. Eat in restaurant one night and again was very nice. Bought two bikes with us and the hotel stored in the garage for us. Thanks to Julie, William and their staff for a lovely break. Definitely recommend a stay.

Wonderful 3 days spent there place very clean staff were very accommodating the on sight restaurant food was very good loved the salmon wellington had a lovely sea view room and we are going back in September

Lovely surroundings, great food (seconds if you wanted) but big portions anyway. Very friendly and efficient staff. Definitely worth a visit. You will go back again and again, guaranteed.

Staff, as always very friendly. rooms, clean and comfortable is the standard I'd prefer you didn't eat here on a Sunday between 6 and 8pm wink-wink.

Restaurant was very well run table's well spaced out same in the bar, food was excellent and well priced, staff very friendly, will go again.

The food was excellent. Great choice at breakfast with a varied menu for dinner. The service was very good with friendly staff.

Warm welcome on arrival. room was spotless lovely comfy beds twin room had two double beds food at the wedding buffet was amazing staff very friendly helpful allowed us to sit in bar area to wait for out lift home the breakfast was so lovely lots on the plate highly recomend staying here I will be back in the spring

A family run hotel, very friendly and accommodating. Service in the restaurant and bar was excellent, lovely food great price and friendly waitresses. A real pleasure staying at this hotel, totally recommended

The room was clean, the staff were very friendly and nothing was to much effort. The food in the restaurant called Garrods was 1st class, plenty of gluten free and vegan choices. Highly recommend a stay here or just to eat in the restaurant.

Visited the Garrods restaurant earlier this week. Excellent food (caramel cheesecake to die for) & service at a reasonable price. You do not have to be a guest to eat here either but made just as welcome. Liked it so much we returned later in week.

Lovely hotel run by such nice people. The sea view room we stayed in was very nice. The view. well you'll never beat seeing the sun rise over the sea!

Excellent food, a good bar and very friendly staff. Parking is limited on the premises in busy times. Single ensuite rooms can be restricting but double rooms seem very adequate. In general very commendable situated in a good location.

We have just got home from a wonderful week at the Furzedown. Nothing was too much trouble from all the wonderful staff. Our room was spotless and we had a lovely sea view. The breakfasts were of amazing choice. We will be definitely going back in 2022.
