About us Report

Charles Skene's original aim for Skene House, nearly 50 years ago, was to provide a better alternative to traditional hotel accommodation for the many families and individuals relocating to Aberdeen in the 1970s. It's been an eventful four decades.

We maintain our own maintenance department of skilled trades people and work with a trusted team of subcontractors to ensure that tenants feel at home and enjoy well-maintained, comfortable and legally compliant properties. We have 24 1 and 2 bedroom apartments available for rent or corporate lease in 44, 46 and 48 Gilcomston Park in the city centre of Aberdeen.

Stayed here before and always been impressed by the location and quality. No different this time. Rooms are spacious and clean, staff are always excellent and the reasonable price includes breakfast. Excellent all round and will definitely be back.

Lovely staff made us feel very welcome. We had a parrot so were in the pet blocks (so people with allergies can stay in other areas) - Rooms were nice, cozy, shower was awesome! Breakfast was nice, can take back to apartment etc. Will be staying here every visit to Aberdeen!

We stayed here recently and found the accommodations to be clean and comfortable. The rooms were a decent size, and quiet. They were a hike up stairs with no elevator, but good exercise. The staff was very friendly and professional, and there is a nice breakfast with fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal, toast and jam. They also had free parking in a locked outdoor lot. Our shower drained quite slowly, but other than that, no complaints.

Really comfortable & helpful, friendly staff. Quiet area close to city centre, 16 year old & 90 year old both happy. Although not fully wheelchair accessible staff have done everything to assist. Will be returning.

Fantastic apart-hotel in Aberdeen - we got a studio room which was modern and well-appointed with separate living area, TV, fridge, stove, iron + board, wired and wireless internet. There is free tea and coffee, as well as an honesty bar in the guest lounge, with each guest getting a complimentary drink. Prices at the weekend are substantially discounted on the midweek price, making it an especially great place to stay at if in town at the weekend.
