Services
As one of Shropshire and the West Midlands' most imposing wedding venues, Rowton Castle owes its untarnished reputation not to its history or setting, but most importantly to its dedicated and experienced hospitality team. From your standard expectations to secret wishes, the team are dedicated to provide you and your guests with the highest level of service, paying particular attention to every single detail.
Rowton Castle as it stands today shows the work of many periods. The foundations are old and the central core may be Tudor. Subsequent generations have added and taken away and we are left with a hotel of amazing beauty. Fortunately, more is known about the owners of the castle than about the house itself.
Our bespoke castle wedding packages and glorious castle wedding venue will ensure that your wedding is remembered for a lifetime. We hear so often from our married couples that their day is talked about for years after and is often heralded as the best wedding ever attended - we're so proud of that.
The winter months are a truly beautiful time to get married during. There are so many reason to marry during the winter months. If romance, glamour and sparkle aren't enough, then the flexibility (and sometimes the saving) offered by many winter wedding venues may just be it. The perfect winter wedding venue is one where you can have the ceremony and reception all in one place.

Thank you to everyone at Rowton for making our wedding day on Sunday 1st May 2022 so magical. The whole team were fantastic from the moment we booked until the morning after our wedding day. A special thanks to Lewis who looked after us throughout the day, , so attentive, taking away any concerns and making the day run so smoothly (especially when I felt unwell) to Gareth who looked after us throughout the evening and made sure we ate and enjoyed every minute of our special day. Everyone who attended were amazed by how beautiful the castle was and how they were looked after from start to finish. Thank you Rowton xxx

Had an evening meal here before returning the next day for a wedding. Both events were exceptional. The service and attention detail we received as a couple dining was replicated on a large scale for all the guests the next day. Quality of the food was superb, the welcome, attentiveness and the communication of the staff was first rate. Would like to come back and experience the accommodation too next time. Simply brilliant.

Their kindness and patience made our day truly unforgettable! All our guests were amazed by the beautiful decor of the castle and the incredible quality of all our meals. I am so extremely happy for choosing Rowton as our wedding venue. Best decision of my life!

Came here a couple of weeks ago to treat my partner to a birthday meal and overnight stay. The food was absolutely lovely and the restaurant and bar staff were very polite. Breakfast was also included which was very nice. Lots on offer. The building itself is so gorgeous. The decor inside is traditional and luxurious. Enjoyed some drinks in the lounge after dinner by the fire which was lovely.
The hotel rooms are very old school. Got upgraded to a four poster bedroom. My only gripes were the bed was extremely creaky as well as the floor and the TV was very small. Other than that we very much enjoyed our stay.

Awesome place. We stayed one night for a wedding. Very personal, beautifully decorated for Christmas. Lovely, friendly and helpful staff. Clean and tidy. Perfect, small wedding venue, couldn't fault it. The venue was hired for the entire wedding party of approx 40 guests and it felt like being in a large family home. Cozy, homely and lovely. If you are looking for modern and trendy with clean lines and crisp decor it might not be for you but if you don't mind the odd wonky for, creaky floorboard and old paintings which give this place character you'll love it. Nice garden too which will be beautiful in summer.

Attended a wedding here and the place is absolutely stunning. The interior and the grounds were beautiful, so unsurprisingly they were dragged off for photos for quite some time- but, there's a well stocked bar- that actually isn't as bad as wedding prices can be, tasty canapes and space to house bands and string quartets. The waiting staff, bar staff and MC were all smart, kind and attentive, one waitress in particular spoke faster than the cast of gilmore girls and had compliments for everyone.
The food was excellent, and drinks were kept well topped up- I didn't stay at the castle, opting for an adorable cottage nearby, but those that did stay were very happy.

I went here for a wedding, and the venue is beautiful! While I didn't get to see much of the grounds, as you drive up they have a centuries old tree lit up along the drive (which looks more amazing at night, of course). Rowton Castle on the inside is full of such character and elegance, with many rooms to serve any purpose. Our friends' wedding had almost full access to the ground floor, so we got to see many of the rooms (and the numerous paintings of animals in human-like settings). This is definitely a good choice for a weekend away or a big celebration.

An excellent leisure facility set in the grounds of the lovely Rowton Castle. Tennis courts, running track, squash courts, well equipped gym, 3 pools, dance studio and much more. Very reasonable membership fees, this is a lovely place to just relax, in the sauna, steam room or jacuzzi. Has offers healthy food in the cafe area, a creche and many fitness classes. Lots of helpful staff always ready to assist.
