Albright Hussey Manor Hotel First recorded in the Domesday Book as "Elbretone", today The Albright Hussey retains all the charm and character of its history. In 1292, to avoid confusion with other place names similar to "Albrighton" the name "Hussey" was added after the family who occupied it. The Hussey family remained here until the 17th Century, and the estate passed to the Corbets in 1634.

During this period Albright Hussey experienced a rich history. The Battle Of Shrewsbury was fought on nearby fields in 1403 and Royalist troops used it as a garrison in 1741.

Visited for a group meal. Excellent meal and service. The only thing that was occasionally an issue was the level of staffing at the bar.

My sons wedding 2 days ago was absolutely perfect from start to finish. Fantastic location, beautiful building, all the staff were 100% spot on, food amazing. If anybody is looking for a local wedding venue this definitely is the place to be. Paul the owner was about all day making sure all was well

Went here for a wedding. Only saw the bridal suite, which was beautiful and clean. Food served at the wedding breakfast was very tasty. Staff were all very pleasant

Sadly the place is looking tired and shabby. Bed creaked at every movement and four poster frame rattled. Room clean. Restaurant offered two main courses only. Breakfast was in a bag of takeaway bits. Staff pleasant but not the service we had before. I gather it has changed hands. Disappointing.

A lovely hotel in the countryside just outside Shrewsbury. Some of the fittings are a bit tired but kept nice and clean with a comfortable bed

I was attending a wake at the hotel so a sombre occasion. I was greeted upon arrival and directed into the function room. It was very spacious and airy and felt covid safe. Staff were efficient and friendly. Hopefully my next visit will be under happier circumstances.

Here for Christmas party, food was good but our company paid for a private bar and room which was unmanned all night so we had to use the communal one, which then closed at 00:30 and nobody came into the private room to tell us of this or that they were taking last orders

Amazing hotel, more like a sprawling mansion surrounded by rolling countryside. Friendly, helpful staff. Only downside was difficulty accessing WiFi or mobile network due to remote location. But in a place as beautiful as this, you don't want to be on your phone all the time! Highly recommended.

We went to a wedding celebration, it's a lovely hotel, the grounds are beautiful, love the black swans! Lovely setting in the Shropshire countryside. Olde worlde feel inside. The staff are a credit to the hotel, they made us feel so welcome, couldn't fault the service and food.

Very good, Granddaughters wedding. Weather not good, but everything else was very good. Used to go there in my working days, for lunch, and Xmas meals. I think the owner was Ken Micah then.

A last minute booking as a train connection was missed. Very helpful staff and a real bath- great after a day's walking. Breakfast was spot on: perfectly cooked and quickly served. Top marks!

Came for a wedding. A lovely venue and the reception staff were very accomodating and helpful. The room we had for the night was nice, but every corner had a cobweb and a spider. Would have hoped for a bit better considering its price and reputation.

Stayed here when attending a wedding nearby. Lovely setting. Good breakfast. Looks like a popular wedding venue at weekends so avoid if you want a bit of solitude. I found it cheaper to book through booking site than through their website. I enjoyed it.
