The Red Hall Hotel stands high in the picturesque setting of Walmersley within Lancashire's West Pennine Moors, which is located on the outskirts of both Ramsbottom and Bury and the Northern ouskirts of Manchester. The hotel is in the perfect location for an idyllic escape, for both business and pleasure alike.
Rooms are guaranteed from 2pm. We cannot guarantee that rooms will be ready before then but our guests are welcome to arrive at the hotel, leave luggage with the reception desk, then have lunch with us first. Of course, Oscars Bar & Restaurant is open to the public for breakfast, lunch and dinner, but please bear in mind; Oscars is closed for lunch on Monday. Some bedrooms can accommodate additional pull out beds for children only, at an additional cost of 15 and 10 for travel cots.
The Red Hall in Bury has 37 beautiful, individually styled hotel rooms - all of which feature en suite facilities. We have 31 standard rooms, 1 suite, 5 contempo rooms, 2 accessible rooms and 2 family rooms Rest assured there is nothing standard about the 31 'standard rooms' as all these rooms have a decadent, contemporary feel with rich creams featuring touches of deep red, teal blue or green.

The staff were very friendly and polite but the food was less than satisfactory, the salad on the starter had slimy and brown bits on it, for the main meal the batter on the fish was soft and the fish slightly undercooked for me. This was a birthday meal for a friend but really do wish we had chosen somewhere else. We won't be going back.

The most friendly, polite staff I've ever encountered! Absolutely every member of staff was so lovely and chatty. Stayed for 2 nights for a friend's wedding and can't fault a thing. Service top class, food excellent at night and breakfast. Rooms were fine for 2 night stay, nice view, clean, everything you need. Location easy to find. Thanks to the team for making the weekend perfect

Very poor service. Staf seemed board with coustomers, managmentgiving orders in a bad tone in front of coustomers, i know they had a wedding in one half and all the mothersday bookings in the other half but they should have organised more staff{managment problem} food was good but 3 hours for a 3 coarse meal? And we had to find a waiter/ess. For drinks order. Willnot be going back again

Absolutely wonderful place. All the staff worked hard to make both me and partner very welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. Everywhere was spotlessly clean and tidy. The room was lovely, tidy and very cosy. Excellent shower and a bath. The breakfast was delicious and again the staff were so welcoming. We will definitely be back to stay.

We held our wedding at Red Hall on 9th December this year. Helen and Chrissie were brilliant with us throughout the planning stages, very helpful and informative I stayed over the night before with my little girl, room pricing was such good value for money - considering the lovely clean room I stayed in (My mother in law wishes she stayed over too).
We also had the honeymoon suite on the night of our wedding which was so lovely and easy access from the function room if we needed to grab anything from our room. The actual wedding day went amazing, we went for a low key intimate wedding - we still got all the special wedding touches provided by red hall, they really went above and beyond to make the day special.
Big thank you to Ian who was leading our day, he was lovely and lots of guests commented on how attentive he was. He worked really hard to make sure everything ran smoothly and we are so thankful for your help on our day I will forever recommend Red Hall to family and friends, we will definitely be back to visit Thank you Red Hall
