Have never stayed here so cannot comment on rooms. Have only used The Gunroom Restaurant. Service was OK and attentive but could have been slicker. At times it was difficult for me to hear what they were saying from the other end of the table. Good selection of wines and the Picpoul and Margaux were excellent. I was slightly taken aback when asked to order desserts when ordering the main courses but all became clear when at the end of the meal I asked if it was possible to have a cheese platter to round off the evening.
I was told the the kitchen was closed. This was before ten o'clock when our resevation had been for eight o'clock. TBH we had felt rushed throughout the whole experience as if the staff wanted to get away early as they had only two tables booked. A heads up to management there. Food for four was about 260 and drinks and coffee another 180 or so. Affordable but definitely more destination rather than casual.
I have been here before and would definitely go again but, as it is currently being run, only once or twice a year as opposed to regularly. OK. but could be excellent with just a little more effort. If anybody wants to challenge me on this, go to Le Gavroche, even just for a business lunch menu, come here and then do so. Service costs nothing and that is all I'm talking about.

We had a two night stay at Plas Dinas and it was perfect from start to finish. The room was beautiful and exceptionally clean. The staff were attentive and polite, the service we received throughout was top class. We enjoyed breakfast, afternoon tea and dinner during our stay and it was all fabulous. All in all, Plas Dinas exceeded our expectations and we were planning our next visit before we had even checked out! We loved our stay and look forward to visiting again soon.

Greeted at the door by a very polite young man who took our coats and showed us to our table A lady came and explained about all the teas available then bought our sandwich, wrap and crumpet. Explained each of the fillings. Then 3 tier dessert plate was bought over with delicious warm scones at the bottom Food was delightful and flavoursome Service second to none We will definitely return Thank you
