Booked this hotel last minute due to our plans in Birmingham being cancelled. Was a little dubious as the room price was so reasonable but we needn't have worried. The hotel is lovely and quirky. Rooms are a good size with en-suite. Bathrooms are a bit outdated but perfectly functional. The bar/outside terrace (view to die for) and restaurant are really nice.
We booked an evening meal and the choice was plentiful. Presentation was second to none and perfectly cooked. All the staff we encountered were so helpful and friendly; nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was nicely presented and very tasty. If we were travelling around the area again, we would have no hesitation in booking The Pilgrim Hotel. The only minor issues we had were the curtains weren't very thick; maybe blackout curtains would be better and the walls are very thin; we could hear our neighbours quite clearly.

Our room was clean, tidy and comfortable. The hotel is situated in beautiful countryside with easy access to Ross on Wye and Hereford. Both the breakfast and evening menus were excellent and a good choice of local beers in the bar. Staff were very friendly and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble.

Great country hotel with charm and a wonderful calm atmosphere. Staff are very friendly and the food served in the restaurant is amazing, breakfast was great. The residents lounge is calm and cozy. Some rooms have been recently updated to a good quality but others are needing updating as they are a bit tired but having said that the whole place is spotless. We thoroughly enjoyed our midweek break.

Great friendly staff, beautiful room with comfortable bed, shower and bath, TV with decent selection n nice view ( we had 22 ) others may differ not sure. Many sections of the downstairs with huge amount of seating. Outside around the back has a stable shelter when raining and beautiful views you can enjoy when out of the shelter. We were there for a special event, so check if there doing more n plan your stay for those times as it was a very fun night.

We went for 2 night stay. Arrived just before the restaurant shut and the staff couldn't of been more helpful. All of the staff were really nice. The food was amazing. The views were beautiful even on a rainy day. The room was spacious and very comfortable. We will definitely be making a return stay.

Very pleasant dog friendly restaurant. We booked an outside table and they were accommodating enough to allow us to order their roast carvery even after they usually stop serving. Lovely roast dinner, and everyone really enjoyed their desserts too! Beautiful picturesque landscape views. Recommend visiting for lunch or dinner. (Pictured: Roast beef carvery.
