These pictures show the Function/Conference Room & the view of The Patten Arms Hotel as you might see it when exiting Bank Quay Station which is just across the road. This makes the hotel an ideal place to stay if travelling by train from Scotland, London, or a number of other locations serviced by this station. The motorway links are also within a short distance of our location. The M6, M62, and M56 are all easily accessible. Pattern Arms Hotel was truly one of the most shocking experiences. Very poor customer service, it's pretty much non-existent. Please be warned if your commuting into Warrington late in the evening, there is no night staff or reception so high chance of being left stranded like we were, having to find alternative accommodation. This was something not defined or expressed even after stating late check-in.
The communication from the Hotel after has been poor with no apology, no empathy, no approach to finding a resolution but with automatic blame lying with customers. Save the hassle and time by booking somewhere else.

Stayed just over a week ago. Disgraceful place. Didn't expect modern at the price but expected clean. On arrival, the toilet had someone else's skids in. The floor was dusty. The shower was useless and there wasn't enough pressure in it to force the water out when the shower head was held up. There was dirt everywhere and strange fluids on the window sill.
The bed felt like it was 20 years old and the bin had somebody else's rubbish in. I emailed the hotel afterwards with the pictures and stated I didn't want anything other than to let them know room 6 was poor. I got no reply. They simply are not interested. I wouldn't house a dog here. I couldn't wait to leave and have a wash.

Owner of hotel very friendly Breakfast was all cold which is a dissapointment but as we did not pay for our breakfast I'm not complaining With the stormy winds it damaged roof so we were in shock when a knock at our door at 5.35 saying please open your door I said no The male voice then asked us again to open door told us it was the police with hotel manager in tow and explained we needed to leave our room in case roof fell in As we said it was no ones fault the winds were just so strong Manager was very sorry and fully refunded us all our money which was very good of him

Staff: Woman on reception and the handy man (saw him a few times!) were brilliant. Man who was on reception was dismissive. Room: Good size with high ceilings but decor a bit dated. Bathroom: Shower adjuster broken and could not change height (pointed at lower chest), leaked in several places (handy man visits - partially fixed). Advised to "let it run for 5-10 mins to let the water get warm" as the boiler is on the other side of the hotel.
Bathroom light did not work (handy man visit - fixed). Shaving light did not work (handy man visit), required full unit replacement - not fixed. Breakfast was from 0800 during my stay. At 0805 I had to find a member of staff to get coffee, toast (warmed bread!), milk and juice put out - he acted like is was a personal favour. The lady on reception and the handy man saved this being a 1 star - they were both great.

BE WARNED the photos are nothing like what the hotel is. Everything about it was wrong. There is no breakfast just toast, cereal and tea and coffee. There is parking for five cars only. The rooms are not clean enough for a hotel. The shower is little more than a drip and is either cold or scorching hot. There is NO INTERNET in the rooms. There were people drinking (and swearing) outside. The other reviews are fake. I'm happy to see anyone in court if I've said anything incorrect.

If you are after luxury and modernism then perhaps stick to the Hilton chain. This establishment has history and a sense of former glory and pride walking through it. A high standard of cleanliness on communal and room areas. Staff are few but very service oriented and pleasant to speak to. The hotel is opposite the train station and only 5min walk into the town center. I would stay here again and I would recommend anyone else to stay here as well.

Staff are friendly helpful and approachable. Lovely ensuite clean and modern fixtures. Towels and linen spotless with bed being comfier than my own! It is a lovely old building and it's position couldn't be better for me as its just opposite station which is why I booked it. I can just wheel my heavy suitcase across road and I'm there!
