We can often try to make a budget to stick to when we feel that we need to be more careful with our money. Many of us will borrow money at some stage, but it can be tricky knowing which lender to go with. Even if you are sure.

Attended family wedding reception. Can't fault the day at all. All staff were superb. We had the Wordsworth suite which was nice a comfortable. Issue was the sound of what could've been air conditioning. Biggest thing was the sound of exhalation fans being switched on at 6.10 am. These were near enough outside our window. Light sleeper or not it would of woken you, if the air con hadn't already.

Had a good time overall at Statham Lodge. The staff were great. The grounds are lovely and I can see why there are lots of weddings here. The rooms were okay, cold overnight. There was a radiator, which we turned up but never came on. Could have done with an extra blanket or turning the heating on. The shower temperature seemed to change by itself, but the room was fine overall, and clean.
There was a wedding on, with a very loud disco, so we had to visit the bar until they were done, as it was very noisy in our room. Breakfast was good, the dining room was nice, as was the bar.

Statham lodge is a very pretty hotel in beautiful grounds about 4 miles outside central Warrington. We had a comfortable single night stay. We could see why it was a popular wedding location choice with the beautiful, mature & well maintained gardens. The room itself was small & basic but bed was comfortable & room was clean & we slept well although it wasn't the warmest overnight, an additional blanket would have been handy.
The shower had tremendous pressure, beneficial after a long walk the day before but the water temp was a bit variable. TV was only basic channels, but that was fine we were hardly there. There was plenty of drawer space & adequate hanging room & hangers for a short stay. There was a travel kettle, a small amount of tea/coffee facilities, two mugs + glasses.
There was an iron, ironing board & trouser press plus a wall fixed hair dryer in the bathroom. The staff were incredibly friendly & helpful. The breakfast was tasty with some options for additional dietary needs which was reassuring. The car park is large with plenty of capacity, as are the dining facilities although we only ate there for breakfast. There is little to no phone signal (depending on the network) in the hotel but the WiFi was dependable & free in all parts of the hotel & grounds we visited.

Welcoming staff. Slightly disappointed with menu choice in bar/restaurant and only having one choice of dessert was very disappointing. Especially when they knew people had prebooked a stay here. Sign in reception states that masks MUST be worn whilst moving around the hotel but none of the wedding guests were wearing them and no members of staff were challenging them as to why not. I thought the Government had made it mandatory to wear masks now?

Service was excellent, bar staff were brill, . It was my daughters wedding 26th August 2021. We stayed for 2 nights. Breakfast service was outstanding both Janet and Angie, served our table both mornings. They greeted up with lovely smiling faces, so polite they could not do enough for us. The manager of the lodge, was one of the nicest and helpful person I've ever met in the hotel business.
She couldn't do anymore than she did. And I would like to thank all of you for making my daughters wedding so special. I would recommend Statham Lodge to anyone who wants there special day to remember. Kind regards Shirley Trow mother of the bride, for making our day one to remember. Shirley xx
