The Mount Pleasant Hotel has 17 lovely bedrooms with en suites. In keeping with such a historic building each room in the hotel is different from the next. Imaginatively decorated and furnished, they boast a mix of designer wallpapers, fabrics and lampshades & feature mirrors. Deluxe and superior rooms have silk or linen curtains with interlinings.

Single Rooms Report

We have 2 single rooms available for you. Room 4 which is located on the first floor with a rear view and Room 10 which is located on the second floor with a lovely garden view. Both rooms have ensuite shower rooms.

We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights. Staff welcoming and friendly. Super service at meal times. Food superb definitely recommend having full board. Menu varied each evening. Plenty of choice. Our room was cosy. We booked late so knew it was going to be on the small side. Next time will book a larger room. However the room was clean. Bedlinen fresh and spotless. Towels clean and fluffy.

In fact perfect as I like a bathsheet and large hand towel for my hair. Only gripe was no fan in bathroom and the strip light over the sink wasn't working. Will definitely stay again

Amazing top class cuisine. A choice of 3 starters and 3 mains changed each night. Chef deserves a Michelin star. Very friendly and attentive staff. Nothing was too much trouble. Lovely comfortable cosy room. Couldn't fault anything. Will be definitely booking again.

Great hotel! Perfect location, genuinely lovely staff, customer service was top notch, class room with a very comfy bed (I actually slept for once), beautiful decor outside and in - really enjoyed my stay there

Everything about the Mount Pleasant is first class. The young staff are very efficient and cope well with the covid requirements ensuring a safe and thoroughly enjoyable stay. The meals are excellent with nothing too much trouble. Can't wait to visit again

Only arrived yesterday and still have 7 nights to go but what a lovely place. Spotlessly clean, delicious food and the nicest people. I have 4 requirements in a hotel - cleanliness, good bed, good shower and good service. Four huge ticks! Would highly recommend and will definitely come again if staying in the area! Fantastic!
