Rooms were very very very outdated and dumpy. Felt like Motel 6. There was a musty smell in the bed covers and the towels looked rattier than the ones I use to dry my dog. The service in the restaurant was very slow and the food was bland. We waited 45 minutes for fish and chips that weren't even very good. Breakfast in the morning was decent at least. The best thing about it was the view from their patio, just spectacular.

I visited this place in May 2022 whilst doing the West Highland Walk. I did a mixture of camping and lodge stays and have reviewed all the places I visited on my travels. The location is beautiful. Nestled in a valley with a great view of the loch. Bit of a space for tents. A few lodges there too, which I stayed in. Heater was amazing in there. Restaurant food was ok, breakfast was good.
There isn't a shop but it's in the town so not far to get to other pubs and restaurants. I didn't use the clothes washing facilities, shower facilities were very good. Cost for a tent and cabin was reasonable. Would recommend.

Nice views, standard rooms. Service was nice however the manager made the group feel a little uneasy and apprehensive through our requests not being met with much support and assistance. We appreciated the establishment was busy, but were made to wait until it was was convenient for him to respond to our simple requests. Secondly, a member of the group was extremely ill that night following a chilli beef pizza which did little to cool the concerns with the service from the rest of the party.
Breakfast was tasteless, especially when compared to other establishments along our route. Still, rooms were nice and warm, alongside the water being hot so the fundamentals were there. Ale was also nice.

We camped here whilst walking the WHW and it was a great stop off. The food and drink was delicious, reasonably priced and staff very welcome. To top it off, the views in the bar are amazing. The amenities are very basic and didn't seem overly clean. There were also not enough toilets and shower blocks in my opinion for the number of camping spots and pods on site.
I found myself waiting for the toilets a number of times. There is no on site shop for camping items but the bar does offer packed lunches (slightly pricey but worth it if you didn't want the walk to the nearest Co-op).
