A fantastic place to stay. The rooms have an intimate feel, like you're a guest in someone's house. The (new) owners are friendly and make for great conversation. I was amazed by how good the food was (again, prepared by the owners) and the atmosphere of the dining room. The surrounding area is beautiful and makes for a great walk along the road or to the MacEwen castle.

I went with my family for a meal, everyone had a good time. This was shortly after lock down, the new management team was busy getting the place shipshape, they were only taking 3 tables a night for meals. Booking was essential! The menu is short, but features locally sourced, fresh items. The service we received was friendly, informal, courteous; the other diners seemed to enjoy their evening as much as my family.

Thoroughly enjoyed our meal here tonight. We ate with our two young boys (aged 3 & 5) and whilst there was no specific children's menu, the friendly staff were really accommodating with our request to split an adult meal. The food was absolutely outstanding, such good quality and good prices, and we would highly recommend a visit. Lovely setting, huge car park and a beer garden was also available. We were made to feel very welcome, despite having two tired children - and its just a shame we didn't get chance to stay longer for desserts!

A lovely hidden away inn being run by new owners. The rooms and comfortable and clean. Restaurant meals are interesting and well prepared by the chef there. Pleasant bars with log fires and comfortable surroundings. Recommend for a pub, dinner and accommodation. Nearby there are a few walks including down to the lochside.

We booked in for dinner at the hotel and it was marvellous. Quiet, due to Covid restrictions, but the couple, who own it, made us very welcome. Varied menu, I was tempted by the "Hunters' Chicken" and was intrigued by the Mustard mash which accompanied it. Delicious. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the pleasant surroundings, the company and the hotel. Recommended.

Spent a few excellent nights here at this peaceful, welcoming family-run inn in August when travel was a little more relaxed. Kilfinan is a wee hideaway of a hamlet with this hotel its warm and vibrant hub. Dining here at least one night is a must, as veg is grown on site and the home-cooked dishes are excellent. It has 2 cosy lounges where the extremely friendly staff will let you recline with a dram as if you're in your own living room.
The bedrooms were calm and pleasantly decorated and we slept soundly. Use the Kilfinan Hotel as a base to explore Argyll's secret coast, try out its gastronomy in Tighnabruaich or up at the Oyster Catcher in nearby Otter Ferry.
