We stayed at the Inverlochy Castle whilst on our honeymoon in Scotland and highly recommend it. The staff were incredibly welcoming and quick to answer all of our questions and even helped us coordinate the send-off of an at-home CoVID test that we were required to take during our international travel. The scenery around the castle is absolutely breathtaking (especially if you are from North Texas) and watching the deer walk across the glen during the early morning mist with the mountains in the background was sublime.

The autumn colors definitely helped, so we highly recommend going during the fall. We loved both the dinner (though we felt overdressed compared to the other guests since I wore a full suit rather than a suit jacket), but the breakfast was the best part.

This place is overrated and falls very short. Rooms are not as advertised - we were placed in the servant's quarters with infernal blinking Wi-Fi lights right next to the bed. The meal service is inflexible - one group dinner a night at a set time. In our case we were not told of the need to reaffirm the seating and rushed back across one lane roads for three hours to make the seating only to be told, officiously, we were not on the list. These owners clearly don't believe they are in the customer service business. Perhaps new management would make this a winner or some basic training for the staff.

Everything about this hotel proudly declares 5 stars, from the elegant driveway as you arrive, to the beautiful grand hall for afternoon tea and the impeccably furnished bedrooms. When the staff greet you by name and do everything they can to make you feel comfortable and welcome, you know that you've chosen well.

Truly an amazing place where you feel taken care of like you were family. The food is possible the best you can get in this part of Scotland. It is a place for true relaxation. It's possible to arrange clay pigeon shooting on the property. Day trips with boat is also recommend as well as a hike up on Ben Nevis. I would suggest to get on of the bigger suits if vacant, it is an experience in itself. There is also boat to hire in the nearby Loch, and why not go to the Harry Potter train viaduct.

Not stayed there or eaten at it, its a lovely location and the castle looks impressive. Not cheap but must be worth it as its busy most of the year.

One of the most beautiful hotels I have been too. It's an old manor that has been converted to a hotel. When you enter the hotel, you get to the main living room with gorgeous decorations. We mainly stopped here for a break to just have some tea but we were blown away on how professional the staff were. When they delivered afternoon tea, you could tell there was so much care put into it.

There were tiny strainers for the tea. One of the best afternoon teas we ever had. The scone was so fresh and soft. It was perfect was a rainy day. In addition, the staff provided some shortbread biscuits even though they were not part of it. If you are ever here, I would recommend this place for a small stop before continuing on your journey.

A beautiful hotel. The staff were friendly and efficient, and we were welcomed with the offer of tea in the pretty sitting room. Our room was very comfortable and spacious. Everything was very clean. We ate dinner in the cosy dining room reserved for guests. The food was delicious and again, the service was very friendly. The grounds of the hotel are lovely, with a walled garden, a lake, and fields.

Breakfast was peaceful with a good selection of food available. My only complaint was that the tea offered on arrival appeared as an extra on the final bill. I felt this was very tacky for what had been a classy hotel. Better to charge extra in the room price I feel.

Impeccable food and service. Arguably the best in Scotland 5* old money luxury at its best

There was such a collection of mistakes down to really poor service. Things were often "forgot" to be brought to us: olives with drinks, coffee with our room order, water when ordered, breakfast 20 mins late. We moved rooms at one point and we're not offered a late check out. A list of seemingly small things that don't sit well with the price of the room.

It feels like because we are younger this might be the reason, if you're not a middle aged over dresses couple I'd go to many of the other stunning places close by. There was one younger male that seemed to work all hours and was pleasant.

What a special place! The service was amazing - the staff went above and beyond on every occasion. The food was out of this world. And the room was beautiful! Some mention the decor being dated, but I have to say I disagree. It is full of character and very much fits with the property, not to mention the bed fabrics were beautiful. Honestly I think modern, fresh decor would look out of place, but that's just my opinion. We certainly will be returning. Inverlochy is dog friendly and we took our doggo with us, and he was treated as well as we were! Spoilt rotten!

A really beautiful place to stay but not cheap so you do expect the best. Unfortunately our stay had a few minor snags such as no hot water in the taps in our room. The card machine didn't work on checking out which delayed our departure by an hour. If your not eating in the restaurant (at 150 pp not including wines) then the service was slow. Also limited menu choices. But this aside it was still a fantastic experience to stay in a Castle for the night.

Almost a five.4.5 if I could give it. There is lots and lots of good stuff about the hotel: the grandeur, comfortable clean rooms (although not London 5* standard), fantastic views, billiards (actually snooker but I guess it doesn't sound quite as grand.and who actually plays billiards) room, beautiful grounds and really lovely friendly staff. But, it's pricey.

And the restaurant is pricey. We were expecting to be blown away with a name like Roux associated with it. Unfortunately, we were a little underwhelmed. It was good.really good but not wow. And of course, pricey. Not sure if there's usually a bar under non COVID situ but it definitely needs one where it feels less formal. I'd say, experience it and make up your own mind if it's worth the money.
