The Old Bridge is a handsome, ivy-clad 18th Century building on the banks of the River Ouse, yet right on the edge of the town centre. Its atmosphere balances that of a professionally run townhouse hotel and a relaxed, bustling inn the best and also the most popular destination for the local community.

Excellence Personified It is so evident why The Old Bridge Hotel Is such a popular Establishment My partner and I, were so impressed. We dined in the restaurant, The service from start to finish was outstanding(Thanks Olly first class) Presentation and Food Qualities were simply of the Highest Standards (Thanks and Compliments to the Chefs) Management and Service teams friendly, attentive, without being overbearing This was a fantastic evening and we are looking forward to our next visit. Highly Recommend DH

Food is lovely & very reasonably priced for such good quality. However the service on my last visit was a tad slapdash. Waitress forgot the bread we ordered & then we had to request butter & oil. We had a fair wait for our main courses. Then we waited over 30 minutes for dessert which we then cancelled. We'd sat down to eat at 6pm & finally left at 845pm without dessert or coffee.
The manager did offer to provide desserts gratis but the humour had gone off us by then. They were very apologetic but it was disappointing all the same. I cannot fault their attempts to put things right. It won't put me off returning as the food is great. I hope they are a little more organised in future.

Firstly, loads of parking. A small car park at the top, and a larger one down the bottom next to the river. A very busy hotel, restaurant booking is strongly advised. The restaurant feels very packed in, as does the lounge area. Nice decor but not spacious. Do note that larger parties generally get given an oblong table, they're not circular. Outside seating area too.
Check the bill, ours had an extra on there that wasn't ordered. When we wanted to divide the bill the response was annoyance, and the waitress then disappeared for a further 10 minutes. Food service is fairly quick. To note.make sure you want the table for the allocated time, and check how long that actually is. If you don't the waitress will come over and ask you to move. Nice food, good sized meals, but the overall experience could be better.

The dinner was fantastic except I was unable to enjoy it hot due to the fact I was told to take my child out for making noise. So when I did get to enjoy my food it was ice cold and upsetting. I came for a nice dinner with my wife and children and were shortly informed after my appetites that I should "take my child to calm down" she is only a year and a half and was having a moment as most children do.
I however followed the order and took my child to calm down during which my food became cold. This place while the food is delicious is not child friendly and I would recommend just going with your wife.
