Very attentive happy friendly staff. Food amazing in the restaurant for breakfast and a buffet. Views fantastic! Room was clean & tidy. Just a little dated could do we some new carpets, furniture. But fully understand that due to covid little or no income at all to spend on repairs. Had staffing issues that were explained to us when we arrived (I can actually understand that as the company I work for and many others have issues with recruitment. So don't actually blame the hotel at all) We will go back again next year.

Such a lovely place, just looks a bit tired in places. Plenty of room though! Perfectly fine for an overnight stay, for the price, recommended.

Meals in the restaurant are superb and Hotel has a great indoor pool and sauna. Great location overlooking the gannel and comfortable rooms. Decor could do with a spruce up though.

Good points- staff were really nice and helped a lot. I think back 10 years ago this was a very posh hotel Bad points- the hotel is extremely dated. Our 1st room had floor boards that literally pressed in and would warp the carpet etc. The shower wouldn't work and the carpet was stained. we then moved to another room due to the broken shower which the lady sorted quickly.

But that room too had stained carpet and dated look. The shower was complicated to use instead of a simple temperature change we was told to do it on bathtub setting and the swap to shower settings to get a good temperature bit neither worked well so the shower was hard ti get a goof temperature. We got told that we had to go up the 1st flight of stairs to get to the lift which was extremely hard for our old dog on slippy wooden stairs, to get up and down.

However on the last day we found the lift on the bottom floor and we are unsure why we wasn't told to do that straight away as it would have been helpful. The ground button couldn't be read easily so we. Due to reviews we was expecting the breakfast to be really good but its about ok not good or bad just average. We wouldn't stay there again. I think with some work this will be an amazing hotel

Now we read bad reviews on this place. Well our room was clean. Yes needs updating but bathroom bed all clean. We had a room with balcony country view. Its a little gem this place right on the beach and estuary. The bar the music just change it we are not that old yet. Its like being in the doctors. Breakfast is lovely and the staff are friendly. Would we come back yes we would.

Nice clean room nice staff on reception but less one star on the meal in restaurant chips very dry and Luke warm like canteen food also ordered a gluten free breakfast months ago the gluten free breakfast was items taken off that had gluten in them conpaired to other hotels give a full English with gluten free sausage and bread for a restaurant of this size it wouldn't hurt to have a loaf and a packet of gluten free sausage in the freezer.

Bar music was also depressing but again it wasn't my taste but most people was much older then us in the bar.besides all that it was a nice stay lovely views on the balcony pool and sauna was nice.

The staff were pleasant and helpful at breakfast and dinner. The food was good and came up fairly quickly. The room we had was OK, the problem with it was the room was never made up all the 7 days we was there. We had to ask for clean towels after a few days. This why l am giving it 3*. Location was fine.

Excellent value for a 3 star, very helpful and friendly staff, nice clean basic room although the bathroom was very pokey. There was good service in the restaurant but food was burnt on the 2nd night but was edible and we mentioned it to staff who were apologetic. Overall a nice stay would go again.

Absolute shocking stay! Do not come to this hotel! Can't get anything worse seriously! rooms are outdated and cleanliness wasn't even existent! There was a small bug in my bed and couldn't even sleep in the duvet it felt that disgusting! What a waste of money the room wasn't even cleaned before we arrived! However the staff at reception and the bar/restaurant were a delight

Pros: location is good if driving, parking offered, breakfast is lovely and the dining room was beautiful. The balcony was also nice and the view was excellent. Very affordable too. Cons: large "daddy long legs" spiders in every room and hallway. Our booked dinner was cancelled with no notice and we spent 3hrs driving around finding an alternative with no luck (as we hadn't booked anywhere else), the humidity and heat is phenomenal in the hallways and rooms in summer, the cold water tap does not turn off, the mini fridge emits a heat that feels like you're stepping on hot sand, approx 15 car parking spaces which are full after 6pm, and finally fleas/bed bugs on the pillows which we had photographed.

Oh furthermore, the one-way entry system for COVID is flawed as the hallways lead to dead ends. Not the best when you have an 85yo grandmother. We booked 3 rooms for 2 nights. Overall, it's fine if you need somewhere to stay quick but there were a lot of issues. The reception and breakfast staff are trying their best though. The place just needs a thorough clean!

5 night stay, views are amazing.hotel does need a update. Especially bathrooms. Plus a room clean during your stay. Got a towel change at reception.restaurant is nice, breakfast was really good. Hotel is relaxing and good selection of drinks. Indoor pool is clean but outdoor pool needs maintenance and a good clean. Patio area is nice. To be fair hotel has a good ambience. Nice friendly staff. They were all so helpful.
