The horizon has an excellent location right on our doorstep, with panoramic seafront views of the Clyde to Arran. We have ample parking facilities and offer Night Porter service 24 hours. Locally you have a 5 minute walk to the Town Centre and easy links to the Airport and Ferry Port.

Went for a day out with a group we had lunch and dinner at the horizon. The staff were really nice, food was good. Only problem we had was our group seating had to be split due to an error somewhere, some where placed upstairs others down. I didnt see any of the rooms as we only had food. As expected the bar was a little pricy but thats to be expected with it being a hotel.
Nice walking distance from the town centre. Very close to the beach and close to the big playpark for kids. There is plenty of places to eat near-by and activities available too. If visiting by car there are other places to visit for activities short driving distances away.

If I could have given 3.5 then that would have been more appropriate. As it is, I've taken a more optimistic view and went for 4. Its well positioned, well priced, and adequate for a one or two night stay. That said, the room was somewhat cramped and very dated. Shower was a little underpowered (and I'm not a fussy person) and the bed and sheets were a little 'stiff'.

You never feel rushed and the staff are lovely, there is one lady who is a part of the waiting staff who is absolutely lovely, unfortunately I never asked her name, she is exceptional and was so patient and gave time to my grand-children, they were made to feel important and special. It's because of this lady that I have made return visits and have recommended the Horizon to others.

Lovely beachside location. The hotel was clean, comfortable and a great base for visiting the surrounding tourist attractions and countryside. The staff were friendly and helpful. Plenty of parking, a few spaces at the hotel but also parking in front and to the side of the hotel. I'd definitely stay here again if visiting Ayr.

Had a lovely weekend second time this year, the hotel is very clean and the food was very good. We were served by a waitress called Nicola, she is lovely couldent have done enough for us at breakfast, truly professional and friendly. My only complaint is that the room was a bit on the small side. Other than this a good stay

Rooms were very clean especially bathrooms, plenty hot water, tea and coffee in the room and you can ask for more including fresh milk, food is very good, only one wee complaint my poached egg for breakfast were like bullets, it was a busy service all other food was fine. For the price paid it was a lovely 2 day break right by the sea. I would recommend to family and friends.
