The Danesfort Hotel

We have absolutely enjoyed our stay at this B&B, the hosts were amazing and the breakfast was superb! I would definitely recommend visiting and hopefully we will be able to return one day. Thank you for making our stay special.

Many thanks to Alan, Charlene and family for a great stay. The hotel was immaculately well presented, the food was great with generous portions and the bed was amazingly comfortable. I had a great night's sleep and will definitely be coming back again soon!

Gorgeous rooms, very clean n comfortable! Staff were very kind and helpful. Breakfast is great, lots of variety. Would recommend!

We've just stayed for 4 nights, and I couldn't be happier with our stay. Very clean and comfortable. Alan and charlene are very friendly and helpful hosts, and the breakfast was lovely. Nothing was to much trouble.

Really enjoyed a 2 night break in Swanage staying at the Rookery. Alan and his family run a beautiful B&B. Excellent breakfast, plenty of parking, super clean rooms and bright cheery decor. Happy to recommend.

Overall we enjoyed an excellent 3 night stay at The Rookery. Our room was very clean and had an up to date bathroom, breakfast was very good with a good range of choices. What impressed us most was the friendliness of the owners and their attention to detail.

Only stayed at Alan and Charlene's place for 1 night as I needed a room for 1 night as I had only a place to stay until Friday morning. Can't fault the place, room was spacious and tidy and all facilities were excellent. Breakfast was amazing. They are both a lovely couple and I'm sure if I had stayed for more one night I'd have a lot more to say.

Room decoration good, although not the largest room but ok for 3 nights. Breakfast was disappointing, English cooked, sausage was the best item, bacon tasteless and mushrooms looked like and tasted like they were very lightly boiled very bland! The owner kept coming to table to clear down dirty crockery which considering the current social distancing and the fact they were not that busy was a tad unnecessary.

Menu for breakfast is left in room for you to complete for following day. On the last evening of our stay there was a handwritten note on top corner asking that we please "don't hang around in the morning as other guests are arriving"! Needless to say we left before the 10.30am checkout, no great customer service. 3 stars for cleanliness and decoration of room, not food or service.

Just returned from a 2 night stay. Lovely decorated and clean room. Breakfast was cooked perfectly and Alan was a great host!. Considering the challenging rules and restrictions at the moment you are doing a great job! Thank you.

Myself and my husband Sean have just returned from 3 nights at the Rookery. We were welcomed by Alan who told us all about the procedures they had put in place before opening. Hand gel, social distancing in the breakfast room. We were shown to our room. Which was spotlessly clean and newly decorated. We were a short distance from the beach which was perfect.

The breakfast in the morning was delicious . You had to choose the night before what you would like. As there was no breakfast items that could be left out. We chose a full English. It was cooked to perfection. Always hot. Also toast and tea and coffee. Alan was a perfect host and always asking us if therewas anything else he could do for us. Nothing was to much trouble. We would definitely recommend staying at the Rookery.
