Had a great stay in this typically Victorian atmospheric Hotel Everything you would expect in terms of older genteel opulence from a bygone era. Lovely features all over the place. Very spacious rooms, and corridors lobby bar etc etc Obviously a few flaws in terms of modern facilities such as air conditioning and leisure facilities and staffing in some areas plus visible management who would actually integrate with guests and ask for their views on service for improvement. eg.

Why is the service for Dinner so slow and the menu limited? The general staff work very hard and are really approachable and friendly and want to please. Great location opposite the Station at Grange. I would recommend if you can find a deal Thanks Grange Hotel for a great stay

Stayed here for a couple of nights for my daughters wedding. The hotel helped organise it all and it was absolutely amazing. The staff and the food was top notch. Will definitely be coming back here to stay again.

Nice hotel. Sauna and steam room not working, asked reception to fix, they said we will send somebody straight away and nobody ever came. They have an ironing room in hotel but when I went in no iron or ironing board. Bar staff friendly. Nice pint. Grounds are nice. Breakfast was tasty. I would visit again

Group of us went for a day of using the spa facilities and lunch. The package was great value for money. I do feel the spa could do with a little money putting into it as the changing rooms were a bit dingy and the toilet door doesn't close. It also appeared that the steam room wasn't working. Staff were all so lovely as was lunch. Would definitely visit again

Absolutely loved our one night stay here last week. Great hotel, very comfortable and laid back. Staff were very friendly and efficient. Slight issue with the bed when we checked in so we were immediately moved to another room. Nice little town on the doorstep. All in all, really nice little stay

Lovely hotel and a relaxing stay. The staff are very warm and welcoming. We dined here and it was an amazing experience, especially the waitress as she was very friendly and fun. The food was very nice and indulgent.

Worth our stay. Although an overnight stay only the facilities and hotel was one of. if not thee best! Sauna and steam room they have + Pool good for my family. Great spot that overlooks abit of the town with heaps of parking right by the entrance. Breakfast was amazing and an Elderly women waitress was super nice and helpful regarding what to-do today with specific directions (something to suit the rainy cold weather). Would recommend this hotel and looking forward to seeing you guys again in the near future.

We had the most delightful time at the Grange. Every aspect of our stay was lovely. The Staff are incredibly friendly. There was a truly jolly atmosphere throughout the hotel. It almost felt like we were staying at a small, family run establishment. Only we were in a gloriously decorated Lake District Hotel. I can honestly say, I've never had such an exceptional Visit, anywhere.

We had a lovely weekend and the staff, particularly Greg and Sherri made our stay so much more memorable! The hotel itself could do with a bit of an update but the food was excellent from breakfast to the bar food but especially in the carriages restaurant!

I still haven't received my receipt. I have sent numerous e-mails but none has been acknowledged. I also rang the hotel yesterday but the staff was quite unhelpful! Are you sure you have the correct e-mail address? I am only resorting to public posts as it seemed the only way to get your attention!

Stunning building, it still has a feeling of its time in a good way. Our four poster bed and canopy was beautiful, the service at breakfast was equally as good, we were only there for 2nights there was one waitress who was quite a character, she remembered what tea I wanted and my husband had coffee I was impressed, just a short distance from the promenade, and the shops definitely will be going again

This place is just gorgeous. A real treat. The rooms are very grand in fact the whole place is including the grounds. So impressed. The breakfast was one of the best I've had, everything you could ask for. I loved the relaxed atmosphere you chose your own table tea/coffee arrived almost immediately. Fruit juices cereals couissants selection of breads jams and the best help yourself cooked breakfast I've had. They had some tricky customers but the lady dealt with them Very professional, nothing was too much trouble. Pleasant and helpful staff throughout really enjoyed my stay

It's Definitely not a four star hotel but we had a lovely time over October 2021. All the staff were lovely and food in the lounge was good quality but a trifle over priced. Breakfast was good, but could do with a bit more variety. Overall a great visit.

Stayed 2 nights for a wedding commitment ceremony, Grange is a lovely setting & good base for exploring further into South Lakes. The hotel is in an elevated position with front facing rooms having serene sea views. There is a refined elegance to the interior & exterior which makes it ideal for weddings or a romantic break. The staff are tireless & hard-working with many characters like Karen, Peter, & Maximillian led by the effortlessly charming Manager Chris, which makes your stay even more memorable. The food was exceptional & of a consistently high standard even when catering for large numbers. We will definitely be returning! A perfect weekend all round x

Beautiful hotel. Lovely spacious gardens with good seating. We had a superior room on second floor. The rooms were very spacious and we had a sitting room and a lovely bedroom with large 4poster bed. Great views Efrain both windows over the bay. Lovely bathroom with large shower and roll top bath. Unfortunately there was a strong stagnant water smell that sometimes permeated the other rooms.

I think it must come from the bath. The bath is lovely but probably never used as the shower is brilliant! Breakfast was really good. Self service with plenty of choices on offer. Food in the lounge bar was really nice and reasonably priced. Parking was a bit dodgy especially if there was wedding on! Lighting could be improved as you need to take care on steps and gardens! All in all it was a nice treat to stay here for Cartmel Races weekend.

Disappointing. Never a 4 star hotel - 3 star at best. Service overall was poor. Rooms are quite dark. My son's bathroom didn't have a shower. The lighting in my bathroom was poor - very difficult to shave without any lighting by the mirror. Beds are old and very creaky. Though breakfast was nice, breakfast was winding down by 10am. You cannot order any food after 8.45pm. Swimming pool was good. Overall the whole hotel needs to be renovated and updated to the 21st century. Would not come back here.

Well, rather a grand affair! No matter how large/ small the room may be, they all, by the look of it, have delusions of grandeur! Voluminous swathes and drapes of, admittedly, high quality brocade and swagged striped curtains with heavy liners.which rather overpowers any room, particularly the small double size we chose. The "inner atrium" outlook/ balcony performs it's function well, but an 'outside facing' window would be better as it feels slightly claustrophobic particularly so because of the Voluminous heavy curtaining.

The grounds/setting is great with many heavy duty tables and chairs right outside the reception entrance/ frontage, ideal for taking in the evening sunshine with a drink. The nicest thing about this place is the staff, who all appeared to be on duty 24/7, very affable and courteous despite apparently overworking many hours! The bar manager 'Greg' is very charming and helpful, all the younger staff particularly helpfull and efficient, 'our' waitress, Millicent, was very helpful and all staff seem to have a warm, down to earth nature.

Breakfast and the 3 course evening meals were outstandingly good. Amazingly good food, perfectly cooked and presented. The hotel is yards away from the local rail station, with an underpass short walk to the lovely esplanade, which skirts the bay and is well cultivated, with exotic plants the length of the 1/4 mile walk towards the town centre. In conclusion, a nice, easygoing experience, better suited to older couples, a perfect short break venue. Top marks!

Beautiful hotel Nice food Great location All staff were lovely, particularly Millicent. Should be called Curtains r us Or Swags and Tails Our room was tiny and had an unnecessary amount of dust collecting 1999's style Curtains. There is no way they wash these curtains regularly The menu was like Groundhog day. Beautifully cooked food but same, limited choice daily. Loved the location situated near to the Prom

Beautiful house with helpful staff. Wide range of facilities in the hotel for choosing where to eat and drink. The grounds and location are well placed for local shops and sea front walk. Not like a busy sea side resort and walking distance from the hotel.
