Excellent Guest House in a lovely location. Me and my wife have recently spent five days there and can't recommend it highly enough. Spotlessly clean and very comfortable room, breakfast is perfect and the hosts Lyn and Liam are so friendly and likeable and help you as much as they can with information about the area and places to visit etc. We really enjoyed our stay there and had a brilliant time. Will certainly be visiting Grange Over Sands again and our first choice of accommodation will definitely be the Elton Guest House

Just had a 2 night Easter break here. I can't recommend this lovely guest house enough. The room was spacious, beautiful and spotless. The location is perfect, the breakfasts were without doubt, the nicest we've ever had, and were even given a glass of bucks fizz with Easter Sunday breakfast . Lyn couldn't do enough for us and was very helpful and knowledgeable about the local and surrounding areas.

She recommended two local restaurants for our evening dinners, both of which were absolutely fantastic (Thyme Out and The Estuary) and also highly recommended. We would most definitely stay here again. 5/5

From the very first communication with Lyn, you could tell that she will do her very best to accommodate you. She sorted a room for the three of us without hesitation. She enquired about our breakfast choices before we had even arrived! On arrival everything looked and felt spotlessly clean and our room was no exception. We had a large room that was very spacious but it also felt very homely.

Breakfast was a delight and Liam did an amazing job every morning. Nothing was too much trouble. There was a large selection to chose from and it was delicious. During our stay it was my anniversary and Lyn and Liam kindly had a card and gift waiting on our table. It is these little touches that make this guest house a little gem of a find. Lyn kindly booked evening meals for us knowing how busy it was going to be and we weren't disappointed, we never had a bad meal. Lyn also informed us of places to visit locally and made recommendations suiting our tastes.

We had a wonderful time staying in the exceptional guest house and will certainly and have recommended it to our friends and family. Thank you Lyn and Liam for our wonderful stay and keep doing what you are doing it is fab! Debbie, Larry and Ellis.

Just got home from a wonderful relaxing stay at Elton Guest House. The accommodation was lovely but the best part of our visit was the breakfast in the morning. Lyn is a wonderful hostess she made us feel really welcome, not only was our breakfast very tasty, but also the information she shared about Grange over Sands and the surrounding area was extremely interesting. We would highly recommend this unique place for an overnight visit or an extended stay and we would definitely like to visit them again soon!

We have stayed at many guest houses in Cumbria, but none more friendly than this. Everything spotlessly clean and Covid safe but it is the owners who made our break so enjoyable. It has been rightly noted on previous reviews, but Liam & Lynne are so warm, friendly, and generous with their time. We will definitely go back and hope to meet up with them again soon. Also, fab breakfasts!

Absolutely spot on. You truly can't fault the Elton Guest House, the decor, the cleanliness, the size of the rooms, the breakfast & mostly the hosts Lyn & Liam. Very special.

We stayed here, the 1 st guests of opening after covid lockdown. Amazing guest house. So clean and comfortable bedroom, perfect decor and room furniture. So lovely to look out onto the back tiered garden, where wildlife visit. Great to see the baby badger visiting for peanut supper.lots of birds visit all day. Breakfast was perfectly cooked delicious!,N othing was too much trouble for Lynn and Liam. They recommend a Restaurant and arranged a booking. Wonderful! Hope to re- visit again soon.xx

Excellent breakfasts, beautifully presented & comfortable rooms, power shower in clean en suite. Lyn and her husband are friendly and helpful, always on hand to make our stay go smoothly. Their local knowledge of eateries and places to visit is superb! We'll definitely be back to Elton Guest house when wanting to explore the Lake District in future.

Lovely location, beautiful and well presented ensuite rooms. Very comfortable lounge for guests to use. Everything is provided to make you feel at home. Lynne is lovely helpful host who makes you feel very welcome. Couldn't wish for a better breakfast. Both Lynne and Liam keep the premises beautifully clean and tidy. Will definitely return. Bonus is the back garden is a gem and home to many wild birds and even visiting badgers.

Second time we have stayed at this wonderful bed and breakfast. Lovely welcome upon arrival plus drinks and cakes. The rooms are very comfortable and tastefully decorated and very clean. Excellent breakfast and lots of choice. I especially like the fruit that Lyn prepares. Nothing is too much trouble for Lyn and Liam. During our stay England were playing on Thursday evening and our hosts realised that we may struggle for our evening meal so they kindly booked a table at a restaurant which was a lovely gesture as everywhere was very busy. All in all a lovely place to stay.
