We was made welcome by the staff from start to finish. The bed and room spotless. The breakfast was amazing and it was a great homeley feeling. Iv stayed there a few times and each time as good and welcoming as the first. Plenty of free parking. Close to public transport. Hopefully see you all very soon. Iv rated my stay with you 10/10.

Unfortunately my booking experience is enough to leave a negative review. I was due to stay here for 2 nights, but due to a family member having severe Covid symptoms and my lateral flow test being positive, I was forced to cancel both my business trip and stay at this hotel. When I contacted the hotel via Booking.com I was advised that my cancellation fee was the entire amount of 70. Whilst I understand it is inconvenient to have a customer cancel a booking with 5 days notice, I would have expected the hospitality industry to be understanding of the situation and be grateful that I didn't turn up and infect the staff and other guests, shutting them down for a period of time and costing them far more in lost revenue.
I would have been satisfied with a partial refund, but their response to my explanation was simply "We look forward to hosting you on Monday" which to me shows that they have no issue with guests turning up knowing they have Covid and spreading it in the community. To me, that's unacceptable and others should be aware of the attitude.

A 3 night stay. Absolutely amazing place. Breakfast was perfect and we also had Sunday roast, again brilliant, compliments to the kitchen. Such a friendly environment, real home from home. Location is just a short walk to town which makes for a nice end to the night when walking back after a few drinks. Thank you to all the staff and patrons alike.

This was a Family of 3 staying on a holiday trip for 3 nights. Clean tidy rooms. Rooms a bit small but good for sleep after day of activities. Good service. Shower a bit slow but bath fine on second floor. Good breakfast, pleasant staff. Parking 2/3 days on site and one day on opposite road as full on site parking. They informed beforehand so no issues. Despite pub and restaurant on ground floor, didn't experience any noise on second floor, on garden side.

Nice and relaxed atmosphere, extremely helpful and hardworking staff (especially breakfast ladies and the cleaning staff). Very good location, close to local shops and to the town centre. Typical three star hotel, but with REALLY HIGH cleanliness standards. Very nice and informative staff in the bar located on the ground floor. It was getting late, the kitchen was about to close, but the nice lady (maybe the owner?) cooked some delicious pasta for my hungry wife Thank you again for that.
Good selection of beers and ciders in the bar (from local breweries as well). There's only one thing that doesn't let me rate them 5 stars: THE HEAT. Unfortunately there was no air conditioning in the room and we were just boiling. To their defence I have to mention that we visited Godolphin on probably the hottest week of the century, so the heat may not be such an issue during "normal" times We'll definately visit Godolphin again.

Our stay was fine. Staff were very friendly, the room was clean and reasonably quiet. We had bed and breakfast which was tasty and with a reasonable choice of options given it is a budget hotel. There were staff issues the first morning so breakfast was somewhat delayed but staff members who were in worked hard to rectify this. We had drinks in the bar one evening watching the football - again all was fine, with friendly staff available and a selection of drinks.

I did not enjoy being kept awake by the noise of the bar below our room which made it impossible to sleep. There was no set time that the bar closed. Also there was a large group of lads on a stag weekend staying at the hotel adding to the frustration of trying to sleep when they were constantly drunk and in the bar. Not idea for a family break and unacceptable for what was changed. I would not recommend. However I would like to say that the staff are utterly amazing and cannot do enough for you. The young lady doing breakfast was amazing! Thank you.
