Cellar Bar & Restaurant have been consistently good for years. Almost always an 8/10 or above. The hotel itself is beautifully decorated and very classy with friendly staff and management. We have had many family milestones and occasions celebrated in the cellar over the years, nothing local compares to it. It's a hotel the Cookstown area can be proud of to have as it's own. Club riviera is a fantastic health club and has a real community feel around it.

Was here for a meeting/conference. The hotel was bright, clean, nicely decorated, staff were pleasant & friendly, food was good. Obviously a very popular hotel as they seemed to he hosting several functions, from a wedding, a 1st communion meal & several random diners. Would definitely go back & definitely recommend this hotel.

My wife, daughter and I stayed on Saturday 12th March and from the very first moment we arrived we received a warm and friendly welcome. I think it was Catherine on reception who booked us in and indeed it was Catherine who had quickly and helpfully replied to all my booking queries prior to our visit. From there on in we continued to enjoy our stay and were always made to feel welcome wherever we went in the hotel.
We loved our river view room (303 I think it was) and thoroughly enjoyed the assistance and welcome we once again received in the leisure facilities. In the restaurant and bar the staff were attentive, helpful and friendly at all times and we were found the perfect table for our evening meal. The menus on offer were excellent especially for my wife who is vegetarian and rarely gets so much choice on the main menu never mind the availability of a separate menu.
The waiting staff engaged with us and were more than happy and able to answer any of our questions. The food was delicious and needless to say we ate too much of it. My wife was particularly delighted with her birthday surprise of ice cream and firework which we were not expecting as we had not pre-arranged anything. Again, this is credit to the staff for their attentiveness and excellent customer service.
All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Glenavon Hotel and would not hesitate in returning or recommending to others. Congratulations to all the staff and management for an excellent experience and thanks again.

Hotel catering mostly for weddings. I took a B&B and evening meal deal. The room was quite dated in an older accommodation block which was in real need of renovation. The hotel main entrance is impressive and very well decorated but the hotel is devoid of atmosphere. There is no real bar / lounge, there is a small area adjoined to the restaurant but it is used for a dining spill over area, so effectively there is nowhere to go after you finish your meal.
The food was basic, good helpings but lacking flavour. Breakfast had a poor continental selection but was not a bad full irish. Pool / Spa was a bit dated with changing areas not particularly clean. Overall not a premium / special feeling experience and certainly not deserving of the price.

We would strongly recommend this hotel. The staff were very friendly, couldn't be more helpful, with a great sense of humour. Room was very clean and well presented. Food was delicious. Breakfast had more than plenty to set you up for the day. Looking forward to our return stay, and meeting all those friendly faces again. Jude and Margaret Boyle.
