The house can be approached from the south by the Military Road, from Newport by The Middle Road, and from the north by the A3054.
Please be advised that the approach to the house is through The Walled Garden that slopes up gently for about 100 metres along gravel paths. Beautiful, recently renovated house and gardens (there is also a fascinating exhibition on the renovation). The house is closed for 2021, but the gardens are well worth a visit, with free entry for RHS members on some days.

We were amazed at the quality of the restoration, attention to detail and Incredible dedication and personal investment that has been made in bringing this house back to its former Tennyson glory. The Tour guides were also among the most impressive we have ever seen. Well worth a visit.
