1.5 stars would be more accurate. Loose dangerous trees at the exact point the stairs turn. We booked an accessible room but despite it being obvious on our confirmation we we sent up dangerous loose stairs. At dinner the lobster was awful and chewy like old leather. Breakfast was passable but could have been better with a little more attention. DEANS PLACE HOTEL could be so much more than it currently is. Sadly it isn't. AA you should certainly change its current 4 star to something considerably lower

Treated myself to a night there for some quiet time somewhere beautiful. I needed to chill and completely relax. Staff are wonderful. Some rooms are very nice others scruffy so call them. Amazing gardens, wiff waff in the garden! Lovely pool. Room 26 had the most stunning views. Bathroom has been refurbished, bedroom is fine, ideally needs a bit more decorating to bring it up to scratch but bed super comfy.

We visited Dean's place Hotel a few days back and had a lovely experience. We booked to have afternoon tea for my mother in law's birthday. We had a nice and relaxed time, well catered for. Staff were very cheerful and friendly and we were made to feel very welcome. The decor was very in keeping for the age of the property, yet, modernised in some aspects for comfort. Chesterfield fabric sofa was comfortable. A nice, warm atmosphere and great food. Definatly visit again. Thank you.

Overall service was ok. However walls are very thin and sounds from next door rooms carry through. We were unlucky I guess and had room neighbours in inwho talked loudly until 02.30 at night making it impossible to sleep. Also although we should have had no add on charges at checkout, we were mistakenly presented with charges from another room although this was not progressed when pointed out the error

Went for an evening meal as it had been recommended. The menu is basic, more pub than hotel e.g. bangers and mash, fish and chips but it was very good and reasonably priced. Very good service and the drinks were reasonable. The restaurant is rather dated and could do with refurbishment. It is a large space and only had a few diners which meant it lacked some atmosphere. 1970s soft rock playing in the background from tinny speakers didn't help.

Had to travel to the area due to family emergency, I simply can not express how amazing the staff have been. They looked after me as though I was family. Caring, supportive yet respectful, I will never forget how amazing the young lady on reception was, truly grateful. On a more practical side, the food is fabulous and the bar and grounds are equally great. Highly recomended

First time there for Sunday lunch. The roast was served lukewarm, Yorkshire pudding was more like a rock cake, they gave me another it was warm and the inside was cold obviously was in the freezer. The only thing enjoyable was the beef which was excellent. My three guests were also dissapointed. Would not go there again.

What can I say. Very comfortable room and a decent night's sleep. I didn't sample the evening menu but if its anything like the amazing breakfast then it would definitely get 5 stars. I stay in a lot of hotels with work and this was by far the best breakfast I have had. The choice was amazing for a gluten free non meat eater, just to have the choice without having to ask was wonderful. Outstanding. Thank you
