I have eaten in the restaurant on 3 separate occasions over the past few months. The meals are very well presented and the staff are very friendly. Nothing was too much trouble and the staff made us all feel very welcome. The prices for both the bar and the restaurant menu's are reasonably priced. I intend visiting the restaurant more often. A solo diner wouldn't feel out of place here.

The chef has offers a really excellent menu for fine dining and the execution to the table of food first class particularly in the conservatory area and ambience! And from the operation to the delivery of fine wines food hospitality I can't fault it. It's a tucked out place easily accessible from the A14 ina nice village. Having stayed here for a while now the staff greetings and general conversation are always valued and welcomed plus Senior management always accessible.a big thank you and well done to all of you.

Rooms are clean and staff are very friendly only downside of room was the bathroom, shower was not working properly, the hairdryer did not work and no non slip mat for the bath was provided as standard, however they will provide hairdryer and mat if you request them. Bar is very small and choice of drinks is limited, breakfast is continental no full English. Did not have evening meal so can not comment on restaurant however directly opposite is a Hungry Horse pub selling a wide choice of drinks and food. After all that would still say the hotel was good value and would stay again.

Went for a wedding and stayed the night, the food was outstanding, the staff were the absolutely fantastic, very friendly and helpful. Especially Donna who worked through the day and night to make sure we were all looked after. Can not fault this hotel at all, never been before and would definitely recommend anyone to have there wedding here. Absolutely amazing. Thank you for all your hard to work to the chef and the staff

Lovely, clean place, continental breakfast which we were unaware of until just before paying, but a good selection, rooms clean. Be aware if you don't book direct with hotel and go through other agents its 10 per night to park car there which isn't advertised anywhere and is an added extra when you check in

Really pleased to arrive and find a small hotel with ample parking at the back. From the road you could easily miss it. We were welcomed and given our key cards. The room was small but had all we needed. Bed was nice and big, and sheets were lovely and soft. The mattress was not the best but ok for a short break. The bathroom had a bath/ shower, nice bright white towels.
I do take my own. The carpet needed changing. I thought the rest if the room had been newly decorated. Theres a dressing table, a lump of a wardrobe and case stand. Nice reading lamps and TV. Including air conditioning. The whole place was spotless which was reasurring. The evening meal we had in the conservatory it was a choice of pub food or a little bit more refined.
The veggie choices of Rissoto or a different kind of Rissoto were a bit of a let down.but nevertheless we enjoyed what we ordered, nice fish and burgers. French onion soup was gorgeous. Staff were lovely, helpful, polite, and great service. The place was quiet and we both Slept well. Now breakfast was a bit of a let down.they say continental but it was a plate of cheese, salami, white burger rolls, tin mandarins, apricots, boiled eggs, croissants, cereal and mouldy tomatoes how that was missed as they were growing Penicillin! Drinks were fresh Fruit juice.
Then your asked if you want sausage or bacon! Strange! I ordered a veggie sausage which was not that great my husband ordered sausages, they looked like the bow of the Mary Rose! Black and brown and crumbly.we did laugh! I had brown toast which was hacked with a knife into boomerang shapes, and it was clearly cheap bread. The tea was lovely and so was the service.
I do hope they do away with the continental it was like the left overs from a christmas party.get the full English going and I will happily pay more. To be honest I would stay again but eat breakfast elsewhere. It was a great price for us, 1 night 96 quid with 2 course meals and a great laugh at breakfast. Staff were the highlight.
