If you're a passionate hiker, Scotland might be one of the best places to visit. With its stunning landscapes, Scotland offers one of the most rewarding hiking trails in the UK - and, according to many, even in the world. Start your hike on the relatively short Loch Lomond trail (around 1 km), which would make for a relaxing stroll through the woodlands. When you're done admiring Lock Lomond's breathtaking sceneries - and if you feel ready for a bit of a challenge, try the Balquhidder to Brig O'Turk hiking trail.

Lovely location on the edge of the Loch. Accommodation homely and comfortable. Fantastic staff, very welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. My husband and I went for a short midweek break. Breathtaking scenery although weather not great but still we found things to do. We visited Scone Palace and the Falls of Dochart while we were there, definitely worth a visit.

A really comfortable cottage hotel in a beautiful location with a fantastic view of the Loch. Room was great, bed very comfortable, facilities good and lovely continental breakfast. Don't have anything negative to say about this hotel. But I don't understand why it's named a 'Boutique' hotel here on google. I'm not sure what attributes are supposed to make it 'boutique', and to be honest I don't think it needs to be. It's clearly a Cottage Hotel and what's wrong with that? Absolutely nothing, it's lovely and I would definitely stay here again.

Me and my 9 friends visited the cafe here for a quick bite to eat as we had been travelling all morning. We saw this cafe and decided to go in and check if there was space for us. The lady behind the bar was extremely rude straight away, telling us we should have booked but she would accommodate. We all came in and waited to be seated. She completely ignored us and spoke to what seemed to be a local so we sat down at a table.
We waited for some menus but she continued to chat so one of us went up and asked for a menu. We were met with an extremely rude "there is limited stock" and shoved away to look over the menus. After feeling extremely unwelcome we decided that we would get up and leave as we refused to give our money to someone who spoke to us like dirt on the bottom of her shoes. Would definitely NOT recommend this cafe/restaurant as we were nothing but polite to her, however, we were met with a rude and cold attitude.

Enjoyed our stay, rooms clean quiet and comfortable, bathroom newly refurbished, great location, ease of parking, would prefer an option if a cooked breakfast, but the continental provided was fine. Hotel a bit tired in places, but I believe under recent new ownership, and coming out of a barren time for hospitality, understandable, would we stay again, yes.

Super location and lovely views. Pretty comfy beds. Staff were nice. Bath and shower were decent. Massive portions of food at dinnertime and nice enough breakfast. Only bad point was the SPIDERS! I have never seen so many spiders at a hotel before. I counted at least 7 outside our room window and that's not even including the ones in our room and elsewhere in the hotel.
As someone who's really quite aracnophobic, I was on edge before I went to sleep! I understand the fact that it's an old building but the least they could do is brush away the cobwebs for guests.

Kitchen closed although they served 2 tables 10 minutes after I arrived. All they could offer was a cup of coffee which was awful and either a packet of crisps or peanuts. My brother told me if similar experience he had at this place. On top of this service they charge 5 for a 30 minute stay in their car park.

We had a lovely overnight stay, the beds were very comfortable, the rooms were pleasant. The hotel has character and the spiders webs mentioned in other reviews only add to that character, didn't your mother ever tell you a spider in the house means you won't have any other insects. Rhoda (hope that is the correct spelling) was wonderful from check-in to last orders, my dad (who is early stage dementia) said she made the trip with her proper barmaid patter!
Many thanks to her for keeping him calm when he lost his bank card (it was in front of him) and for laughing almost as hard as I did when he sneezed out his teeth. I hope we will all be back.
