Whether you visit Cornwall looking for family holidays, great surfing or simply a hotel in Newquay with a seaview, Hotel Bristol is the ideal choice. The cool rush of the Atlantic, Tolcarne Beach and Lusty Glaze (recently voted Best Beach in the UK by the Sunday Times Beach List 2017) are right on the doorstep of the Newquay hotel, while all the sights, sounds, shops and attractions of Newquay are just a few footsteps away.
The perfect balance of fun and relaxation, you might say. Guests love our sea views and peaceful, comfortable accommodation where you'll find a tranquil night's sleep and a great choice of rooms.

I only visited for a drink in the bar. While the barman was very pleasant and welcoming, the general service was quite poor.2 staff members taking almost 5 minutes to sort out a drinks order? Apparently the 2 ladies were NOT bar staff.so apologies for that. The receptionists were very helpful. Large lounge with full width windows letting in plenty of natural light.

Looking for a hotel that was dog friendly in Newquay and found here. We opted for a Seaview room which had a double and a single bed in it. They provided a blanket, towel and bowl for the dogs at 10 per dog. They have one small lift which we had to use for the dogs as we were on the first floor. You can park your car at the rear of the hotel. There's a park opposite and a beach which you can't take dogs on so had to walk to the next one along. Found it a little on the pricey, but it suited our needs.

Generally a well kept hotel. Clean, nicely decorated but not out of keeping with the building. Staff were excellent, accommodating and friendly. We didn't use the pool so can't say anything about that but judging by the rest of the hotel I am sure is was just fine. The food was, I thought fantastic. Good portions, and for once I was not sad that I am gluten free. The options were fab and delicious.

There is ample parking although not at all secure so mind your valuables, three electric car chargers to the rear of the hotel, two tesla destination and one type 2, no charge for guests ask at reception to turn them on. Breakfast is fine unless you're hungry, the full English would hardly fill a runt bugie, and likewise the evening meal. Generally I'm sure the hotel was charming in the 80s but there's a touch of the shining about it now, all in all its. OK

Honestly the best thing about the hotel Bristol for a local who used to come swimming here as a kid every Sunday is that it has not changed in over 30 years. Although they should really throw some money at the place to modernise it, for nostalgic purposes on a personal level it is quite nice to see the hotel has retained its traditional looks and values. Never stayed here overnight as a local, but staff are pleasant and helpful and there's a decent massage service now inside which I would highly recommend.

Firstly I would like to say a massive thank you to Lisa and all the staff at the Best Western Hotel Bristol in Newquay, after arriving at a hotel that was awful they managed to save our honeymoon with a wonderful stay here. Lisa was very welcoming and even upgraded us and drinks on arrival we would definitely recommend staying here. Thanks again you've all been amazing

I have never ever been so disrespected in all of my life. Me and my partner recently stayed at one of your hotel chains in Newquay, Cornwall and had to leave a night early because of the harassment and plain disrespect of your staff. On the second night we get a phone call stating that there is a strong smell of smoke coming from our hotel room (my partner smokes outside) to which we denied and suggested it could be one of the rooms next to us, we asked the neighbours if they had phone calls and they didn't.
We let this slide but this has set the tone. The same time the following night we get a knock at the door, I answer as my partner is showering, this time to be accused of smoking cannabis is the bedroom!? I opened the door without hesitation and offered the THREE members off staff to search the room, the manager was satisfied we hadn't but not so much as an apology was offered to us and the THREE members of staff proceeded to patrol the corridor outside our hotel room.
I have never felt so uncomfortable in my life. To add insult to injury, no other rooms were knocked or asked about this smell of cannabis to which makes me believe it was racially provoked as my partner was the only black man in the hotel. I have worked throughout this whole pandemic as a front line nurse and this has been my one chance to get away and relax and it was completely ruined so much so we cut the trip short and drove 5 hours home that night!
The hotel staff were rude and confrontational in there approach, I think the customer service was absolutely appalling. No apology was offered after such disgusting accusations! It saddens me that you have staff like this representing your well respected establishment.
