The perfect base to visit this special part of England. Ideally situated very close to the historic city of York, the spa town of Harrogate, and the commercial centre of Leeds; yet close by the A1/M and direct train links.

We stayed at the Natural Bridge Inn last night and it was a wonderful experience. Based on some of the reviews I read, I had some concerns but they were completely unfounded. We are really big into history and the area, so it was great to wander around and see all of the artifacts and articles on the hotel as well as Natural Bridge. Our room was clean and the staff was friendly.

We had beverages and appetizers at the Red Fox tavern and Chris is awesome! She was a lot of fun to hang out with and we had several good laughs! I would recommend this place to anyone. We will definitely be back!

Jennifer in the tavern was a perfect host and the food was really tasty but.the AC can not keep up in that old building. Switched rooms after maintenance tried to fix the first room second room was even hotter. I'm sure it's lovely in cooler months but it made for a pretty lousy romance package room. I'd probably stay again but not in the warm months. Go see Jennifer!

Make no mistake that this is an older hotel. It's history and location to the park is what attracted us. Take the time to read the framed news articles about the age of this historic hotel, the fire that destroyed much of it in 1963, and its grand reopening in 1964. We had dinner at the Red Fox (on site) and breakfast buffet in the dining room the next morning.

The food was absolutely delicious! Madelyn checked us in. She was kind and professional. Cris took care of us at the Red Fox. We arrived at 9:35 (they close at 10pm) and she welcomed us and took our order for dinner. We didn't feel rushed at all. Shaun kept our coffee piping hot at breakfast and made sure we had everything we needed. Make sure to have some scones!

The room was clean and comfortable. There is a walkway from the hotel that goes under the highway to the state park where you can walk/hike to see the natural bridge. Dogs are welcome (we had ours with us). We are so glad to have stayed here and to have seen the bridge and waterfall.

Let's start with the positives, the restaurant and bar were nicely done. Food was pretty tasty, the lobby l looks nice and the extra rooms for conferences or receptions were well done. They also offer pet friendly rooms. Negatives: staff was slow, waited almost after check in time because rooms were being cleaned. The A/C was loud and constantly going on one room, the other the A/C didn't even feel like it was on.

I can't back late after a full day and asked for towels and they said they had run out and told me to try in the morning. The wifi didn't reach our room and signal was too poor to compensate.

Customer service is absolutely horrible. I have been here many times when it was privately owned and it was great. Now that it is Wyndham it is horrible. I booked a balcony room to have a view of the mountains. I asked when I checked in if the balcony has chairs. The lady at the front desk didn't have a clue. My goodness, if you work here there are basic things you should know.

Then she gave me a room that has a brick wall on the balcony and it is impossible to see the mountains while sitting at the table. I returned to the front desk and asked for a room without a wall blocking the view. She repeatedly said "All the balcony rooms are like that". I asked her to step outside and look up for herself to see this is absolutely not true. I was eventually moved a few room down the hall to a room with a view. She needs some serious training. I also found trash on my balcony chair.

Our stay here was horrible. Very unhelpful and unfriendly staff at the front desk. We rented two rooms one for our grown up kids and one for ourselves. In my kids room in the main building the boiler was broken so their room felt like 95 degrees and they laid in a pool of their own sweat all night. Our room on the other side of the hotel was filthy, the toilet wouldn't flush even toilet paper down, we had a dirty sock in our bed and there are only blinds on the window so when you turn out the lights to go to bed at night the outside lights from the porch and parking lot shine in as if you never even turned the lights out so we slept as if the lights were never turned off. Bugs on the window ledge, dirty floors, the shower pressure was like drips of water.

The manager or someone tried to say in my other reviews that we never complained until morning so they had no idea but that is false. Completely false. We did complain and no one cared. No one apologized and no one cared. The front desk staff was just awful. Do not stay at this dirty, over priced, unbearably hot, horrible hotel.

I typically dont leave neg reviews but this one needs to be said. So, the picture on the main google page is the Wyndham. The main website is more accurate. There's no elevator so if you are in the need of one for ADA reasons, that would be a no. For people with allergies, the rooms are super dusty. I had to step outside at 3am to breathe. Fan/heating unit sounds like a cat scratching in its box all night.

Door to the bathroom doesn't stay shut and the bathroom itself is disgusting. Beds do not look like the website at all. Fridge doesn't work so my insulin was ruined. On top of everything we ate at the restaurant and got food poisoning. If you're looking for a remote area and a hot and a cot, this would suffice. If you are thinking historical means the outside and the rooms would be renovated, or at least comfortable, then don't waste 119 plus taxes and holding fees.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The restaurant was good for the price, room had a nice view of woods, and the walk to the state park was short and sweet. We had good experiences with the hotel staff and liked the fitness center too. If we come back to natural bridge again we will certainly stay here! It's truly a quaint mountain hotel

I really wanted to give it a higher rating, because I like staying at historic hotels, but I was disappointed in the cleanliness. First, the elevator was never vacuumed the entire stay. Our room had an open closet concept where the floor hasnt been cleaned in I couldn't say how long. The bathroom door was distinctly dirty where the handle was, as well as the phone.

I actually wiped off those areas myself. The front desk staff never smiled and was not the least bit helpful. I gave 3 stars because I actually like the hotel and the restaurant food was good and the staff were very nice. The management needs to take care of some cleaning issues and staff training.

Recently came to stay at the hotel for one night with 4 other girls. We had a great time visiting the natural bridge and caverns! The hotel lobby was incredibly beautiful as it was decorated for Christmas. Compared to the lobby the rooms were an absolute let down. The rooms were slightly dirty hair was in the shower, dead bugs on the windowsill, stains on the walls.

Our tv was broken as well. We were fine with this for the night as it was warm and out of the rain. Maybe is wasn't as nice because it seemed to be the off season. The restaurant seemed to be a HUGE hit or miss. The appetizers were great, as were the fries but my burger was very chewy and my sisters gourmet grilled cheese was two soggy pieces of what looked like wonder bread. There are a few aspects that could be improved but overall my family and I had a fun time but we most likely wouldn't come back to this hotel.
